Join us in raising awareness about the alarming rise of targeted attacks on the Sikh community by other religious groups. In this powerful short clip, we share the findings of our recent questionnaire, which aimed to understand the challenges faced by Sikhs in society. Out of the 200 responses we received, a majority of cases (62%) reported being questioned about their faith, highlighting the prejudice and ignorance that persists. Shockingly, the majority of these attacks (57.6%) occurred in person, emphasizing the urgency to address this issue. Our survey revealed that individuals of the Islamic faith constituted 49.3% of those who targeted Sikhs regarding their religion. It is crucial to recognize that these actions do not represent the beliefs of the entire Islamic community, but rather a small minority who engage in such behavior. Even more disturbing was the discovery that 72% of religious groomers would attack Sikhs in an attempt to assert the superiority of their own faith over Sikhism. This malicious intent to undermine and belittle the Sikh faith cannot be tolerated. By sharing this short clip, we aim to raise awareness and encourage dialogue surrounding the discrimination faced by Sikhs. It is imperative that we address this issue collectively, fostering understanding, tolerance, and respect for all religious communities.
