allow me to introduce you this great, forgotten & super rare album 'Mellow Mood'.
'Phil' is a singer straight outta Baltimore, he tried to do his thing through 'Discreet Records', but like the label was mostly Hip Hop influences, he was the top priority of the label. so they tried to give him a chance & release his album which was only local, back in 1995.
this mix contains two part, you will first find Middle Tempo songs mixed together, then you will hear what 'Mellow' means when you will hear the second part, which is more slow jam songs. all the album got a great old school vibe quality, which is really worth the listen ! you will also hear the vocal skills of this singer, which are simply great !
all the tracks were produced by 'Brent 'Faraoh' Toussaint', and all the tracks got a major hip hop influence which was the mark of the 90's, each track got something special & like they used to say, they had so many styles on lock for you all !
so people, don't miss this chance to listen to his album, get to know it & discover his great style, which is really dope, listen, enjoy, comment, spread the link around & of course: support the artist & let people know he is still around !
i don't own the rights of these tracks, so there is no need to ask me to share them, i don't have the right to share them, this is the propriety of Phil, not mine. enjoy & spread the link around, enjoy this nice mix !
Old School as Usual !!!
If you also feel like it was better before, if you are tired & scared to turn up your radio because you already know you will hear bad music, if you also feel like there is a big lack of singing talents in the nowadays R&B music they do dare called 'R&B', if you feel like the 90's was the golden age of R&B when real music was sang...
Come & Join me on the Time Machine & on this long revival road, i'm trying to build up each & every days a revival of the Old School 90's R&B from New Jack Swing to R&B in the middle 90's, Swing Style to Slow Jam & Soul ; mostly what i recognize as talent & put back R&B at what it used to be back at its golden age, real music straight from the passion & talent on soulful harmonies, but also a synonym of pride for black community, with the 'R' as Rhythm but most important, the 'B' as Blues (that you won't find anymore in nowadays music).
i'll try to build up the first Old School 90's R&B youtube channel as a true reference & bring under the spotlight the major commercial artists/groups, known or forgotten... but also the hidden artists/groups who did lack some attention back in the days & try to help them to get the attention they did deserve back then they didn't get. for all the people, Amateur or Expert in the R&B Genre, i got something for everybody ! so Come & Join !!!
