Hello music lovers.
We are continuing with the project, free written lessons of Streabbog op.63 studies, each day two of them. If you missed my previous video, where I explained why it is important to understand the concept of each piece and learn some facts about the composer (Jean Louis Gobbearts), please check it out.
Here we with today's studies, no.3 and 4:
3. On the Green
This study is working on a specific kind of articulation, staccato. This is an Italian word for playing detached, separated from the following notes. The duration of the notes shown as staccato is shortened. How do we know which notes are affected by staccato? A small dot under or over the note head indicates that it is to be articulated as staccato. So we can see that the right hand will play in this manner throughout the whole study no.3; in the first section of 8 measures playing staccato intervals (thirds, sixths, seconds), while the left hand has got a waltz mode accompaniment. The second section is slightly different, the left hand only three beats notes making nice harmonies and the right hand continues with detached notes, melodic intervals. The third part is the repetition of the beginning.
It is written in G major, so one sharp, F sharp, in the key signature. The tempo is Allegretto, so moderately fast, graceful.
4. In the Swing
The study number 4 is a quiet piece in binary compass. The time signature 6/8 means that we can count 6 eighth notes in each bar, which is exactly the pattern of the accompaniment of the left hand. The lead melody is simple but very pleasant. It is adorned with grace notes what gives it a more carefree sound. The key signature is C major and the tempo Andante. It is a pleasure to play this short piece on the piano.
This is the analysis of the third and fourth studies. If you find it helpful, consider reposting it so others can see it as well. Making a tip you can help me to continue with my labor and improve the quality of videos.
Thank you for your time. Tomorrow I am going to release studies numbers 5 and 6. Greetings ???

As we know, Friedrich Burgmüller was famous for writing various series of piano studies. But all those studies are not just empty exercises; of course, they have the purpose to develop the technique of piano playing but at the same time each of them can be played as a unique concert piece, so nice they are. This one, study number 7 from Melodic Studies op.100, is a very short one, but as fresh and cute as a limpid stream.
? Have a nice day ?

This Ave Maria, composed by an Italian composer Giulio Caccini (1550-1618) I used to play together with a dear friend of mine who passed away three years ago. She was a singer with a beautiful voice, and this piece I play now in her Memoriam. This is the version of Ave Maria written for piano and voice, so I wanted to play as we used to perform it. First I recorded the piano part and on top of that the voice part played at the piano as well. ?️?️?️
