Once you enter the Elite Four, there is no turning back until you defeat the champion so be sure to stock up before you enter. Lorelei uses Water and Ice type Pokémon. Dewgong will use Safeguard to prevent status problems for 5 turns. Cloyster will sometimes use Protect to avoid damage for one turn and Spikes to damage those who switch out. Slowbro will use Yawn to make opponents sleep the next turn and Amnesia to raise its Special Defense stat. Jynx will combo by using Attract to infatuate opposite genders and put them to sleep by using Lovely Kiss. Lapras will use Confuse Ray to confuse targets and paralyze them by using Body Slam. This requires a Liberty Pass that can be obtained via Wi-Fi Event or Action Replay. With the Liberty Pass, go to Castelia City and enter the boat that takes you to Liberty Garden. At Liberty Garden, you’ll battle a few Plasma Grunts and find Victini inside the building. Save your game before you interact. Victini is on Level 15. Its ability is Victory Star, an ability that raises Accuracy of the user and teammates by 10%. Make sure you’re inventory is full of Poké Balls. Later on, if you use a Heart Scale with the Move Tutor, you can teach Victini its signature move, Searing Shot, a move that strikes everyone on the field having a 30% chance of burning.

After meeting the legendary Pokémon at the Burned Tower, they will roam all over the Johto region. If you encounter one of them, a special theme music will play. Raikou is on Level 40. A roaming legendary will flee on the first turn. Any Pokémon like Gengar for example that knows Mean Look can prevent wild Pokémon from escaping battle. Even if the roaming opponent can’t flee, be careful as it can use Roar to force your Pokémon to flee. Try using a combo with Mean Look and Hypnosis then use Ultra Balls. If you have a Master Ball, you can snag the roaming legendary with ease.

The starting path features a maze with standing gunners all around. Make your way around and back as you go to lower floors to navigate the maze. Descend a few sections and you’ll take on some shield snipers along with hatchers that release plasma worms. The next section features a road with multiple shield snipers. Enter the cap doors and you’ll take on Flash Man. Flash Man will create a blinding flash that will immobilize you before spraying a barrage of pellets. Use the Metal Blade to deal more damage. Defeat Flash Man and you’ll receive the Time Stopper along with Item 3.

After triggering a flashback that showed N in the Chargestone Cave via Memory Link feature, his Pokémon will be released and scattered all over Unova. Explore the Pinwheel Forest and you might come across a Pidove that will sparkle, meaning that N previously owned it. This one is on Level 13. It has a Sassy nature and the ability Super Luck, meaning its chances for critical hits will increase. Once you capture this Pidove that N used to own, you cannot give it any nicknames.

After defeating an ambush with various ninjas, indigo ninjas will be in formations. After another ambush, another formation of indigo ninjas will hang until you come closer. After defeating an armored cyborg, ride an elevator and have a rematch against the claw master. Turn left and you’ll have a rematch against the green ninja. Defeat the green ninja and you’ll have a rematch against the wire man. Defeat the wire master and you’ll have a rematch against the stick man. Defeat the stick man and you’ll have a showdown against the dragon ninja on a helicopter. Watch the opponent’s moves carefully and do everything you can to fight back. After you defeat the dragon ninja, you have completed the game.

On Route 2, there is a Hidden Grotto just behind the Lass before the gate towards Accumula Town. Enter this Hidden Grotto and you’ll sometimes encounter a special Nidoran♀. Pastoria City’s gym has switches that adjust the water level. Use the rafts to cross certain spots. After navigating enough of the gym, you’ll battle the leader. Crasher Wake uses Water type Pokémon. Gyarados will use Swagger to confuse opponents and make them flinch by using Bite. Quagsire will use Mud Bomb to make opponents less accurate and Mud Sport to weaken Electric type moves. Floatzel will use Pursuit to strike those who attempt to switch out and Ice Fang to freeze or flinch foes. After the battle, you’ll receive the Fen Badge and a TM55 (Brine). Brine causes double the damage if the target’s HP is half or less from its maximum.
