The history of Castle Neroche dates back to the Iron Age. Situated near Staple Fitzpaine, Somerset what remains is the later Norman Motte and Bailey castle. It shows many signs of modification over the years and went out of regular use in the 12th century. Today its not as maintained as it could be and some of the paths are obstructed by fallen trees/branches . Couldn't see to much from the air as the trees are still fully leaved , However the tops are starting to yellow.
