Should I Do Product Launches or Network Marketing?
How to make the most money in affiliate marketing:

This will be a revealing and thought provoking video...

I recently spoke with a gentleman who has had great success in the field of product development and launch strategy, typical in modern internet marketing circles.

Several months ago, he decided to align himself with the world's foremost online network marketing company, and leave the product launch world behind.

As a person who has made the majority of my income in the network/affiliate marketing space, I have a lot of appreciation for the opportunity that this form of business affords to the average individual with no special skills or credentials. But I have also wondered about the viability of doing more in the direction of direct-response product launches as my primary business.

After all, the thought of doing $1,000,000 on a weekend is pretty attractive, and I have seen it happen more than once with some of the online marketing "gurus" that make this a full-time business.

And after more than a decade of success in the direct-sales/network marketing business model, I sometimes wonder if "the grass is greener on the other side."

In the direct-response world of launching products to customers, without any business opportunity attached, there is no need to manage and support a group of affiliates/distributors beyond delivering what was promised when the transaction took place.

In the network marketing world, the vast majority of participants produce little value, are quick to abandon their goals (if they have any) and can be more of an energy drain than an asset to the organization.

This is nothing new. It's just human nature, but it does cause some of us more seasoned veterans to wonder if we're "barking up the wrong tree" when we work to build and support a community of people who, in many cases, are not willing to work, build and support themselves.

Such is life. And there always is that small minority of people who are more interested in production than consumption. And they make it all worth it.

So my conversation with the company's CEO was largely based on this question:

"After having participated in many million-dollar+ product launches throughout the years, why would you choose to re-enter the home-based business/network marketing space which, in my view, is largely dependent on the efforts of loosely affiliated people, typically with a very low level of commitment, and virtually no marketing know-how?"

His answers were very revealing about the "dark side" of the product-launch world, and gave me some great insight and reassurance that I may not be barking up the wrong tree after all.

Enjoy the video where I explain these perspectives, and see if you come to the same conclusion I did...
