The First Ten Minutes of Legend of Mana (PS1)
This is a vid of the first ten minutes of Legend of Mana on the PS1.

Sorry that the footage isn't more interesting, but it's a slow starting game. I also decided to start off at the character naming screen to show you the open structure of the game.

This is another PS1 RPG sequel that doesn't live up to the Snes original. Though I finally recently got around to putting about 40 hours into it, and enjoyed it, it's not as good as Secret of Mana.

My biggest complaint is that it seems like they tried too many things with this game. There a whole lot of variety to this game, but it at times seems overwhelming. The open design has it's positive and it's negatives as well. The game is also pretty easy once you get into it, and reach a certain level.

One thing that can't be denied is that the game has awesome art direction. The watercolor backgrounds give the game a very distinct, and beautiful look that gives the world presented in the game it's own unique charm. I just wish more games would have followed suit. Saga Frontier 2 also has a similar art direction as well.

Overall, I find this game to be an enjoyable experience in it's own right, just don't come into it expecting it to be like Secret of Mana, and take it for what it is, and you won't be disappointed.
