▼ 3D Makers can help in the war against the Corona Virus
People all over the world are quarantined because of the Corona virus. People stay at home as much as possible and protect themselves, and therefore the entire population, against the virus. But some people cannot stay at home. Some professions require that you simply go to work, or even come into contact with people who may be carriers of the virus. Those people use protective equipment such as mouth masks, gloves, and other items to protect themselves against infection by the virus, but these resources are running out. Worldwide, there are shortages of protective equipment and other resources that are now so badly needed to fight the Corona virus. Some of those resources are very simple to make, from wood, plastic or any other material.
We as makers can help in this. We are able to design and print. We can create the resources that aid workers, so let's do it en masse. Ask your local emergency services what they need and see if there is anything you can help with. Think not only of the hospitals, but also of the general practitioners, dentists, elderly carers, people who work in laboratories, etc. Think of the drivers of public transport, the store employees of the supermarkets, etc. Help these people by asking them what they need and see if you can make it.
There are a few initiatives online that you can join, which you can easily find through Google. I did not do this myself because I know exactly who I can help locally and I do my bit there.
Be safe, stay at home as much as possible and keep your distance from others for as long as the government asks you to. Good luck, and let me know what you have been able to do for the rescuers and other professionals in your area.

This video is my final review of the Creality CR-10Mini printer that is not modified yet. I have the printer for 10 months now and I am using it very frequently, like 2 or 3 times a week. It's being used for production work and for rapid prototyping and so far, it has never seen maintenance yet.
Everything I say in this video is my honest opinion. I have received this printer from GearBest.com for a review 10 months ago but they have changed their policy about reviewing stuff and they now want me to make a video about every promotion they have, therefore I temporarily stopped working with them. A few months ago I was asked by Gearbest if I wanted to review the very latest Ortur Obsidian 3D Printer? A printer with a very nice low price level, but executed in high-end materials and equipped with all luxury functions that you normally only find on much more expensive machines. Of course, I immediately said I wanted to review the printer and about a week ago I got a message that the printer had indeed been sent to my address.
Since I was not at home when the 3D printer was delivered, my neighbor took delivery of the box, and that box had quite a few damages. Both cracks and obvious dents. I would not have accepted this box myself, but unfortunately, my neighbor did.
Actually, I planned to unbox and assemble the 3D printer in a live stream, but given the damage to the box, it seemed more sensible to assemble the printer first and then stream the first print with the machine.
It soon became clear that this was not going to happen because almost every part that can break is actually defective. Although the printer was packed very well, and shipped in very thick foam and in a thick cardboard box, the UPS deliverers must have managed to play a game of football with the box, because the printer housing, the print bed, the X axis, the double Z axis and even the display are all bent, dented or broken. Not one part of the printer is intact, while the printer is really made of very solid thick metal. Much thicker than many other printers I have here.
I would really not be doing the 3D printer, and the Ortur brand, a good service if I were to review this scrapped printer. The printer is more severely damaged than repairable. You can never straighten metal that is really bent, you have to replace it. And if almost all metal parts are bent, the printer will never be perfectly square again.
Unfortunately, I cannot review the printer for this reason, I would have liked it differently. Now, I am going to ask Gearbest to check via Ortur if it is possible to receive another review unit. One that might be shipped with a carrier other than UPS, because I'm sure it's not the packaging, nor the build quality of the printer. This printer really died during transport to my studio.

I bought myself a device to warn against speed traps that the police in the Netherlands used, but the bracket was designed really stupid. That's why I designed a new bracket to hold the hardware in place against the window of my car where I can easily reach it.
The Used printer is the Longer Orange 4K mono Resin 3D printer and the used software to design the bracket is Fusion 360.

The Longer Ray5 is the first Laser engraver I received that comes with a controller as standard. This controller makes it unnecessary to connect a computer to the laser, which means that using the machine becomes a lot easier and in some cases, also a lot cheaper.
The powerful 5.5 Watt laser (optical power) is capable of engraving in a beautiful way, even when it comes to photo-realistic images. This laser can also easily be cut in wood and acrylic, provided that the latter concerns dark blue or black material. The machine is equipped with a number of safety options, but of course it is important that you continue to think for yourself and that you are always careful with your laser engraver.
The advantages of the Longer Ray 5 are:
- Built-in controller with SD cards and WiFi
- Standard equipped with a 5.5 Watt laser module
- Perfect Square shaped 0.08x0.08mm dot, no KERF effect
- Suitable for engraving and cutting
- Easy operation
- Economically priced, compared to comparable machines

After my previous video about the new Pathio slicer, I received a lot of reactions from you. These reactions differed from being very satisfied with the slicer and the way in which the company deals with beta testing to very dissatisfied people who do not wish to cooperate with a product that is not open source.
One of the reactions I received came from Gabriel Seltzer, one of the people working at E3D. He was more than willing to email me and answer all my questions that I had.
Partly with the help of my viewers, I then made a questionnaire and sent these questions to Gabe, who answered them all afterward. This video is largely his reaction to the previous video, on the comments on the previous video.
