CONSEQUENTIALISM: The Hermetic Principles of Natural Law
Hermeticism is a school of Philosophy that draws from the study of the Corpus hermeticum , the magickal texts attributed to the Egyptian priest, king and philosopher Hermes Trismegistus. He was known by many names and he was considered to be an amalgamation of several people and mythological figures of ancient history. The main function of Hermes and his many incarnations is to be a scribe to the word of God. One of his many incarnations is the Egyptian deity Thoth, who is often depicted as holding a tablet and writing implement.
Hermes Trismegistus was believed to be a contemporary and spiritual equal to Moses. Many Christian intellectual giants like St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Augustine considered him a pagan prophet and forerunner of Christianity.
Hermeticism itself emerged parallel to Christianity and Gnosticism, and evolved over the first millenium. Hermetic texts dating back to the third and fourth century were uncovered in the Nag Hammadi codices.
Hermeticism aims to uncover the laws of morality as created by God, and reveals how to align oneself to interact in balance with the creator, the universe, and reality.
The truths that exist in the Hermetic texts have long been jealousy guarded and carefully written in code. Much of the Hermetic and alchemical literature was destroyed and lost in the ravages of history.
Emperor Constantine and his successors erased nearly every trace of Hermeticism for centuries. The fundamental approach to Hermeticism- that outcomes and events can be procedurally manipulated and altered by having full knowledge and understanding of the principles of natural law, is still occulted and controlled in these modern times.
