Upshot: I can make CNC coasters now!
Videos coming up on:
- futzing with the shitty drive system I'm using
- the mini-water basin
- the torch mount
- the home switches and e-stop
I think the next order of priorities will be:
- configuring LinuxCNC to use an input for ohmic sensing
- switching the torch with the M3/M5 gcodes
- working through the FreeCAD workflow for generating gcode
- cable routing
- tapping into the arc-ok and voltage readings for THC
- full size water bed
- upgrade the bearings/rails/drive
And yes, I'd really say getting the ohmic touch-off is more important than automating the torch. Until I have that, I'm left manually setting the Z axis anyway.
