1. Adopt the 10x mindset. The single most important step is to have the clear intention of generating exponential growth in your company. Dan calls this the “10X mindset.” It means seeking and being open to every opportunity that can help you grow by 10x, and avoiding those things that don’t contribute to that growth. Without this 10x mindset to guide and motivate you, none of the other tools or tactics will matter.
I can tell you from my experience that the shift from a slower growth mindset — say, 2x, or trying to double your success — to 10x is both liberating and energizing. That’s because in 2x growth mode, says Dan, you essentially get stuck in the immediate past and try to improve incrementally without really changing anything. In contrast, a 10x mindset focuses your thinking squarely on what your ideal future looks like, and how you can best pull your present situation toward that ideal vision. With a 10x mindset, you begin to examine everything in your entrepreneurial life — your clients, customers, support team, technology, even your lifestyle — and question which parts of the past should coming along on the journey forward, and which need to be jettisoned.
2. Turn mindset into action. Of course, the right intentions will only get you so far. You also must act. Every 90 days, identify three things around you (or three actions you are taking) that are blocking your progress toward 10x growth — and get rid of them. Likewise, look to add three things or take three actions that will help fuel your exponential growth goals. By regularly cutting out those activities that sap your energy and adding to those things that boost your energy, you will make tremendous progress consistently. Soon you’ll find yourself operating at a 10x level of performance and results in many areas of your life.
3. Take full advantage of technology. Technology is the rocket fuel that’s helping more entrepreneurs generate 10x growth than ever. In the past — meaning the pre-personal computer/software application/Internet days many of us came up in — most business owners thought only in terms of incremental growth because it was so much harder to reach their audience. Modest growth was all the world seemed to allow. But thanks to Moore’s Law and the power of the microchip, we now have technologies such as webinars and podcasts to reach huge numbers of people easily and cost effectively. Once you have your ingredients, you follow a recipe and presto! But that’s not always the case. What if you have guests and need to feed more people? What if someone is allergic to one of the ingredients? Suddenly, your goal goes from making a meal to ensuring it will feed enough people and be edible by all.
That’s why creating goals is so critical to the first part of your social media strategy. At the same time, it’s best to set goals that you know are attainable. Asking for 1 million new Instagram followers in 2018 is unrealistic. With achievable goals, you’re more likely to stick to the original plan and continue to take on new hurdles as you complete old ones.
This is the same reason why brands should never take on every social media channel possible in their current marketing strategy. Try to choose the channels that have the most importance based on your brand’s goals. Avoid over complicating a strategy with too many targets and objectives. Simplicity can take you a long way.

Time is a precious Internet resource, which is why one huge benefit—maybe the hugest—of repurposing content is the time it can save you in the content creation process.
There are also a number of other advantages to repurposing content:
Get an SEO boost. Multiple pieces of content around the same topic can generate additional opportunities to target a desired keyword. Plus, if you take your repurposed content outside your site, you can receive quality links back to your site with the added bonus of controlling the anchor text in the link.
Reach a new audience. In many cases, your original piece of content may have only made a splash with one group of customers. The Facebook algorithm has become smarter because Facebook has more data. More users produce more things such as video, images, and apps. Instead of looking at pure engagement, the algorithm now looks at how long people watch videos, click-back rates, and other factors that indicate whether something is a legitimate signal.
Today, the algorithm’s job is to show users relevant content.
The more content (more friends and more posts), the stronger the algorithm’s filter power has to be to deliver relevant content. For instance, the average user has more than 500 friends and likes 150 or more pages. The amount of content being produced keeps growing, while the user’s attention remains finite. The more friends added and pages liked, the stronger the algorithm’s filter power needs to be to determine what a certain user wants to see.
The number of times a user logs in per day also matters. The algorithm needs to work differently for a user who logs in once or twice per day versus 20 times per day. Plus, based on where you are, what you’re doing, and whom you’re with, the algorithm has to be smarter because your expectations have increased.
The algorithm needs to create an experience that makes users want to come back to Facebook. That’s why Facebook says, “It’s about the user experience.” The longer you stay, the more ads Facebook can show you. The user experience is a long-term play because a good experience is the best way to make money. When you own the system and have the maximum number of users, you also have the maximum amount of attention, and that’s how you maximize ad revenue.
The algorithm has to determine how much power a particular post has. The number-one factor is engagement. If the algorithm sees lots of people engaging with your post, then the algorithm shows the post to more people. Your post gets some initial reach in the first few seconds. Maybe 1% of your fans or friends see it. If that engagement is high, more people will see the post.
The number-two factor is the content. If other people are interested in the content of your post, it gets a bit of a bump.
The third factor is the K factor: whether certain information is hot right now. You might want to know that a friend just checked in at a coffee shop a block away. That’s more important than something that happened two days ago.
Together, these three factors determine how much power a particular post has.

It enables you to tell the story of your business, including photos and reviews, and share important information with potential customers before they’ve even clicked through to your website.
We know that Google is always exploring ways to provide searchers with the information that’s most relevant to their search quickly and easily.
If Google sees that people are clicking to read your reviews, opting to call you, reading your posts, visiting your website or viewing your pictures, all from your GMB page, it’s a strong signal about the relevance of your content. This leads to more appearances in the ‘local pack’ of local search results and increases in your organic rankings.
Posts without a specific end date stay live for seven days whereas event or offer posts will no longer be visible once the end date has passed.
