Yes yes, a classic "shooter" that we have yet to create a video for and now we have done it. Finally, thanks to all the submitters. Substitute your favorite Irish Cream and Irish Whiskey. Recipe: 3/4 Pint of Guinness Stout, 1/2 oz. Irish Cream, 1/2 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
Today we teach you how to make the Floradora, a cocktail that Ian decides we will build in fast-forward. How fast can he build it and talk? Ian's not a fast talker but...
AwesomeDrinks Bar Equipment: http://awesomedrinks.com
The flavor of the Floradora mimics that of smarties, the candy. Ian nails it, Dan agrees and Derrick just sits in awe and wonder as the event unfolds. How can we build the floradora in two minutes _and_ have an alternate ending? Watch and see the Floradora cocktail being made in realtime, but fast!
Floradora
- 1.5 oz. Gin
- 0.5 oz. Raspberry liqueur
- 0.5 oz. Fresh lime juice
- 4.0 oz. Ginger ale
- Garnish: lime wedge
While this cocktail brings out the sweet candy flavor, it's not overly too sweet--it's more of the balance of sweet to sour ratio and the gingerale picking up the mid-palate. Definitely a very specific sour cocktail flavor that's fun for those that love to use raspberry liqueur. Probably not the definition of a modern classic, but fun just the same!

Time to uncover some of the deep secrets about the vodka industry and how it goes about selling you its ultra premium branded spirits. The dirty little secrets of vodka are many.
Don't forget, buy stuff from our store, http://awesomedrinks.com
The TTB's Classification of "Vodka" and Grain Neutral Spirits (GNS): https://www.ttb.gov/spirits/bam/chapter4.pdf
The secrets are plenty as we dig deeper into what makes a brand. For instance, using a company like Ultra Pure (https://ultrapure-usa.com/) allows you to create your own 4x distilled vodka without having to ever touch a still or legally own a still. Yet, you can still sell your own branded product _and_ label it "hand crafted", what!?
Sure, you can go out of your way to make an artisanal vodka but at what cost? How are you going to market it with a better story than a company that buys grain neutral spirit (GNS) from the lowest shop and cuts it with their super premium water supply?
Oh yeah, what about that charcoal filtration? Or...any filtration at all? Sure, you can make a great 3x distilled vodka but why would you need to clean it to make it completely odorless unless, of course, the odor it gives off is rough and ugly?
What about copper pot distilled vodka? That makes it more expensive, right? What if you found out you can't distill vodka in a pot still without having columns to purify it to its legal 95%/96% standards?
Pure vodka is more expensive vodka and you're willing to pay for it, even if the purity of the vodka is to remove the ugly poor quality "nuance" the vodka is bringing to your mouth and nose.
How stupid are we? We want to pay more to get less. Kinda silly, right?

Let's learn how to make the incredible hulk cocktail, a cocktail featuring hpnotiq and Hennessy cognac. This hpnotiq cocktail turns green (even though hpnotiq is blue) but when combined with yellowish Hennessy, you get incredible hulk colors.
Use coupon code AUG17 to save 17% off at our little online cocktail store, http://awesomedrinks.com
The Incredible Hulk cocktail recipe is fine for parties, has a unique "hpnotiq" flavor to it, which combines a potent vodka, floral notes and passion fruit against that of an oak aged rested spirit of cognac.
Okay, overall, the Incredible Hulk recipe is probably fine for college parties and newbie drinkers, but I can't say this would be the cocktail recipe I'd choose for an event or to highlight cognac as a mixer. Honestly, I'm not 100% sold on why someone would buy hpnotiq to build out this recipe and, overall, the blend isn't exactly the most tasty of spirits.
However, there is a subculture of hpnotiq fans and no doubt incredible hulk cocktail recipe fans so we won't press our opinion on you too much...yet, at the same time... it's a very potent spirit-forward drink with no juices or overall redeeming qualities.
But, it's the Incredible Hulk, so you got that going for you...
The Incredible Hulk
- 2 oz Hpnotiq
- 2 oz. Hennessy / Cognac

Today we're going to show you how to make the Davy Jones's Locker, what I think could be a tiki cocktail, bookmark the recipe https://bit.ly/2UeHwC6
This recipe, submitted by Jon Spikes, looked interesting as it was working with both a rum and cinnamon syrup (and grapefruit which we love in cocktails) as well as Fernet Branca. And, there are not a ton of well balanced and great Fernet Branca cocktail recipes. So, we wanted to see if this would hold up to our personal expectations.
Gun Metal Shaker Kit: https://awesomedrinks.com/products/ultimate-boston-shaker-kit-gun-metal-black/
B.G. Reynolds' Cinnamon Syrup: https://awesomedrinks.com/products/b-g-reynolds-cinnamon-syrup/
This drink ended up being above our expectations on flavor and wasn't too Fernet Branca forward with herbal cold blasts to your face, which is always enjoyable to avoid.

Ingredients:

• ¼ oz. Fernet Branca

You may be someone looking for a crisp clean rum without added sugar, or someone that just wants lovely sweet rum up in your cocktails, these five will cover all the bases. You will find a need for a nice clean aged rum like Bacardi Superior balanced against a sweeter molasses focused rum like El Dorado 12, yet still have space for a Plantation Dark and a Mount Gay Eclipse.
