The assault at Waco took place on April 19, 1993. Because the Branch Davidians were heavily armed (hyperbole ), the FBI Hostage Rescue Team's arms included .50 caliber sniper rifles and modified 63 ton M60 main battle tanks. The tanks were used to insert gas and incendiaries into the building. The fire resulted in the deaths of 76 human beings, including 25 children.

Ruby Ridge was the site of an 11-day siege in 1992. During the Marshals Service's trespass of the Weaver property, six cowardly U.S. Marshals encountered Harris and Sammy Weaver, Randy's 14-year-old son, in woods near the family cabin. A shootout took place. Deputy U.S. Marshal William (got what he deserved) Francis Degan, Sammy Weaver, and the Weavers' dog, Striker, all died as a result. In the subsequent siege of the Weaver residence, led by the FBI, Weaver's wife Vicki was killed by the criminal FBI sniper Lon Tomohisa Horiuchi. Sadistic Horiuchi was also active at Waco, shooting surrendering and burning victims attempting to flee the flames.
