Thunder Cross (サンダークロス) is a horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up arcade game released by Konami in 1988. It used a "layered scrolling" background, a new 2D graphics technique at the time. The game spawned a sequel, Thunder Cross II, in 1991. Owing to several similarities, Space Manbow (1989) may also be considered a spin off. In 2007, Thunder Cross was included as part of the Oretachi Geasen Zoku Sono budget series on the PlayStation 2 in Japan.[2]
Star Wars Arcade (also known as Star Wars[1]) is a video game developed by Sega and released in 1993 in Japan and USA and 1994 in Europe to arcades. The home console version served as a launch game for the Sega 32X in 1994. It is set during the original Star Wars trilogy, combining elements of A New Hope and Return of the Jedi.

Crossed Swords II[a] is a hack and slash action role-playing video game developed and published by ADK exclusively for the Neo Geo CD in Japan on May 2, 1995.[1] The sequel to the original Crossed Swords, It is one of the few exclusive titles to be released for the console, as it was never officially released for either Neo Geo MVS (arcade) and Neo Geo AES (home) platforms.[2]
Jungle Hunt (ジヤングル・ハン卜) is a right-to-left side-scrolling arcade game produced and released by Taito in 1982. It was initially released as Jungle King, but changed as a result of copyright disputes. Published the same year as Moon Patrol, Jungle Hunt is one of the first video games to use parallax scrolling.
Progear[a] is an arcade video game developed by CAVE and published by Capcom on the CPS-2 arcade system board in 2001. This was Cave's only horizontal scrolling shooter until Deathsmiles in 2007. The game features a steampunk-like style and art design. This game is the second of two CAVE shoot 'em ups to be released in America with the third CAVE NTSC-U/C release being Princess Debut, and in limited print; and as a result, the US version is somewhat rare.
Karate Blazers is a beat-em-up, martial arts fighting game with four main characters: mercenary Mark, wrestler Glen, "mysterious fighter" Gill, and ninja Akira. The plot is a common one for Video System: a girl has been kidnapped, and the player has to save her. Both Glen and Gill appear later as the Blazers in Sonic Wings 3, where they will again try to rescue their master's daughter and the stolen scrolls.
