Note: Complete video transcript is posted in comment section Our Testimony: Anyone Can Repent While There is Still Time I’m here with Anthony and it’s been about 3 years since we have seen each other. About 3 years ago when Anthony came I baptized Him and it was just a great time to be together and to fellowship with one another. But about a week it seemed to me, after he left, Anthony messaged me and he said he had this dream where I was running through a forest or running somewhere and I entered into a house and the door closed, and Anthony was behind me and he said he was just getting farther and farther behind, and he told me at that time he took that dream very seriously. However a couple weeks went by and I never heard from Anthony or Kristen again. We would sometimes email them or send them a message but we didn’t hear from them much. Well, fast forward now 3 years later. 3 years later one day I am driving to work, and I’m just praying, I’m talking to the Lord as I usually do, and I’m telling the Lord while I’m paying on my way to work that it be better for me to be alone with Jesus and not in fellowship with Christian who once walked with the Lord, than to be in fellowship with Christians who had fallen away and then to start straying away from Jesus myself. And when I prayed that Jesus really put Anthony and Kristen on my mind. When He put Anthony and Kristen on my mind I started praying for them like things like I wish God would just put something in their path that would draw them close back to Himself, even if it were something that wasn’t good. I prayed that He would just wake them up before they would die. A lot of people I have talked to that are Christians were walking with the Lord for a while and then they just went off the deep end, and I never hear from them again. But after I said that prayer I’m guessing it was about 2 weeks, I get an email from Anthony saying he is trying to walk with the Lord again and he would love to talk with me. And we got back in communication. The prayer that I prayed for Anthony and Kristin, they told me about how that affected their life and I want you to hear from Anthony’s perspective why he fell back to the world and how Jesus got their attention. (Anthony) Ya, So as Andy said about 3 years ago, just shortly after we left and had time to fellowship here and be with his family, we got back, back to our home a few states away in Texas, and we sort of lost faith, there was some things in our life that kind of brought up some fear. And we started to trust in our own ways a little bit. And we slowly went back into the world and we also went back to our sin. And when we fell away from Jesus the 3 years that passed by went like a flash. We went back to chasing after money and our career. And we knew that was the only way we could provide for ourselves because we were accepting to follow the world and not Jesus. So those 3 years went by pretty quick, and we always had a knowledge of the truth, we always knew we were on the wrong path, but we were just so weighed down by the world and had hardened our hearts to Jesus that we just couldn’t turn back. So, about the time that Andy prayed and asked for God or you know, just some sort of intervention to come into our life and wake us up. My wife went to work one morning and got into a very bad car accident. And the way that the highways are in my state they are very fast passed and she was doing about 80 mph on the highway and ended up getting into an 8 car pileup which completely totaled her car and I got a phone call that morning and just heard my wife crying and right away I knew that something terrible had happened. And she told me about the wreck. And so I was thankful that she was alive but also I knew at the time Jesus was showing me that my wife could have died that morning very easily and I knew that she would have ended up in hell. And it really just completely shook me and it shook both of us, it woke both of us up because, you know, the whole time we were just kind of going along trying to drown out the truth and just trying to gather things here on the earth to distract us. But at that point when I realized that she would have been in hell forever and there was nothing I could do about it, she would have died alone and I would have been left here with guilt. It really changed our minds. We kind of saw that this word is definitely, the things of this world are definitely fleeting. And that all of the things that were working for suddenly just didn’t matter. And Jesus really started to speak to us again and draw us back to Him.
