The Most Beautiful Urban Garden - Chi Lin Nunnery
Tucked away among the skyscrapers of Hong Kong is an urban garden like no other. On this episode we take a look at the Chi Lin Nunnery, the world’s most beautiful urban garden.
The Chi Lin Nunnery was founded in 1934 as a retreat for Buddhist Nuns.
-It was rebuilt in the 1990s following the traditional Tang Dynasty architecture
-The Chi Lin Nunnery buildings are the only in Hong Kong to be built in this style of architecture in modern times
-The entire complex has 16 halls, a library, school, pagoda, bell tower and drum tower sprawling across 360,000 sq ft or 33,445 sq meters.
-Now what is very bizarre about the Nunnery is it is located across the street from an MTR Station, which is Hong Kong’s subway line
-When you exit the subway you’ll see a big wall and think nothing about it, if you happen to accidently wander into the Nunnery (as its free of charge) you’ll be more than pleasantly surprised as I was. The entry into the garden is full of immaculately cared for plants, bushes and trees that you’re more then likely not to see anywhere else, at least looking as nice as well manicured as those ones do.
There are a handful of buildings with different exhibits and a vegetarian restaurant under a waterfall.

Fantasea is a wacky disneyland like place in Phuket Thailand, minus the rides. There are a plethora of stores all built with a distinct theme.
Examples:
-Golden Palace
-Underwater store
-Diamond white elephant palace
-Jungle forest
There are over 10 different stores all with different themes, most of them connect one to the other without going outside as well. Along with the stores there are also 2 different buffets customers can choose to eat at as well as elephant riding, a white tiger exhibit, carnival games and random booths outside the shops that try to sell you things and get really mad if you film them for some reason.

Enlil traffic turbine
Coming from a university student in Istanbul is a revolutionary invention that create power on the side of roadways. On this episode we cover the traffic turbine.
The Enlil turbine is small cylindrical wind turbine positioned beside or between road lanes that generates power by the wind force from passing vehicles. It’s small footprint allows it to be efficient in tight spaces, for additional power capture the enlil traffic turbine has a solar panel mounted on top.
Created by Istanbul Technical University Student Kerem Deveci, this turbine is currently being tested in the city it was created. Not only capturing wind and solar energy this little turbine records temperature and humidity numbers and can provide a place to connect your phone to wifi. Its modular design allows for easy assembly and disassembly.
300 of Deveci’s turbines are expected to create the power needed for 20,000 homes. Fitting neatly between road lanes anywhere a median or concrete barrier is place this turbine makes good use currently wasted space. By simply placing these along roads, we’ll be able to capture energy back which will help counter the environmental footprint of the cars driving past them..

Irish Mike builds gigantic fantasy weapons and shows the whole process on youtube
-As a kid he taped together junk to make weapons and as time went on they got more and more elaborate.
-In 2007 he was commissioned to build a giant sword which he documented and put on youtube, ever since he’s been a huge success with an endless demand for his weapons
-Mike now has a dedicated following of over 600,000 strong on youtube who also support him on patreon to the tune of over $3000 per step by step video he uploads
-He has created Cloud’s buster sword, Auron’s katana, the Dragonslayer, Soul Reaver and many many more!
-Irish Mike only builds fantasy swords and will not make recreations of historical weapons
-His weapons can get up to 8 feet in length and up to 100 lbs, try swinging that around
-Now if you want to get one you can commission him to do so but he seems to be booked solid all the time. The only way to get a request in is if the weapon is “very unusual” in his words.
-His swords cost between $1000 - $2000 which seems amazing cheap for a custom built sword

Hailing from south america is a monkey with distinct facial hair. On this episode we bring you the Emperor tamarin.
Found in lowland tropical rainforests in south america, this tamarin is found in Brazil, Bolivia, peru and the southwestern Amazon Basin. Two subspecies exist, the bearded emperor tamarin and the black-chinned emperor tamarin.
Measuring up to 16 inches or almost ½ a meter in length and weighing 2 lbs or almost 1 kg this monkey has a small body, long claws, and prehensile tail. Their tail can be used as a 5th hand when traversing tree branches. This stylish grey monkey sporting the iconic curly white mustache has a head, hands and feet that are almost black with the rest of the body being a tint of grey with golden yellow fur mixed in. Looking like a mix of different animals, the emperor tamarin has a red tail to complete the mismatched look.
Its name originates from having a similar mustache to this old timer, German emperor Wilhelm II. Being a diurnal animal, or one that is active during the day, they are rarely found on the forest floor. This would make them an easy lunch for their top predators so they stay high up in the trees where they have protection and all the food they need.
Snakes, wild cats, dogs and birds of prey all will chow down on a tamarin given the chance.
