Pro Teaches n00bs: Special Class: Gamera Retrospective
Bringing our Kaiju stuff full circle, going back to our Gamera Retrospective, Ingrid and I go over the Gamera comics!
Sadly there's not much to go over.
In my Arrow Videos Gamera collection has all 5 comics. The first is Matt Frank's The Last Hope Doujin he did to celebrate Gamera's 50th anniversary! Collected for the first time. This gave the origins to Heisei Gamera
Also Dark Horse attempted a Gamera comic, one that bridged the gap between the first two Heisei Gamera movies! It's just a wild romp that recreates Zigra (Sadly Poorly) and Viras (WAY more impressive)..
Yeah not a lot but it does bring things full circle. So enjoy people.
Continuing off of my Creator Spotlight on the man, I was able to get an interview with Brett Booth. We'll be talking about how he got started in comics, specific projects he's worked on, and what he has planned for the future

@ElizaGWR & I close out our Munsters Marathon with the newest movie release & Latest reboot Attempt, Rob Zombie's The Munsters &....it's not shit but it's not great either. Grandpa is amazing, Lily is okay & sadly Herman...is mis-casted.
Lily is a typical 150-year-old lovelorn vampire who's looking for the man of her nightmares -- until she lays her eyes on Herman, a 7-foot-tall green experiment with a heart of gold. It's love at first shock as these two ghouls fall fangs over feet for each other in a Transylvanian romance. Unfortunately, it's not all smooth sailing in the cemetery as Lily's father has other plans for his beloved daughter's future, and they don't involve her new bumbling beau.

Hey Guys! Last night Ingrid & I saw DC League of Super Pets. We recorded a review and...when I got home I found the video was corrupted. So here I am recording a solo video about it. Don't worry I'll do a follow up with Ingrid later on but I just HAD to get something out there about this movie ASAP cause it's SO DAMN GOOD!
Don't worry, we'll do a redo together later today
She and I went in expecting a dumb popcorn comedy but what we got was a very well made wholesome adventure! I mean it's written and directed by one of the guys who did the Lego Batman Movie so it's to be expected!
The Three stand outs are Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as Krypto, Kevin Hart as Ace, and Kate McKinnon as Lulu the Guiana Pig. There are other characters that do great jobs too but these three steal the show! Kevin is not a joke character here. There's a lot of depth to Ace and he has such a tragic back story that's NOT a joke or a spoof on Batmans! Kate is just chewing the scenery as Lulu but is my favorite type of comedic villain...the ones that are still menacing and competent! And Dwayne nails that balance of being a superhero but, well, still a dog.
The other characters are well done too but if you're expecting comic accurate you'll be disappointed. I say this. Go in knowing the creators involved were clearly die hard DC fans but also beloved Pet owners too (you should see the Studio Pets part of the credits)
Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime side by side in Metropolis. However, when the Man of Steel and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a ragtag group of animals to master their own newfound powers for a rescue mission.

A few years back I did a review about Zeboyd Game's Cthulhu Saves Christmas! Now I'm back to review their newest game. This way Madness Lies!
Basically...what if you mix Magical Girls with...Shakespeare. And you put in in a small jRPG style game? Well this is what you'd get! It's REALLY good, Really fun, AND at a great price for its length
Let us begin our tale, in the quiet city of Verona, Italy. A town for lovers... and giant, mutant flower attacks.
As the leader of the Stratford-Upon-Avon High Drama Society, Imogen is no ordinary girl! Sure, she goes to school every day and helps produce plays for the community, but beyond that, she's a magical girl! With her powers, she can teleport to alternate dimensions based on Shakespeare plays, fight back the forces of Nightmare, and still get back in time for dinner!
Join Imogen, Paulina, Viola, Rosalind, Miranda, Beatrice, and Kate on an epic adventure throughout the Shakespearean metaverse in this comedy JRPG!
• Unique, turn-based combat!
• Hang out with your friends!
• Put on plays!
• Shakespearean dialogue too difficult to parse? No problem with our unique Ye Olde English to New English translator! 110% accurate!
• Multi-character unite abilities!
• Teaches you while you learn!
• Get a pet!
• Pacing that doesn't waste your time!
• Fun for the whole family!
We believe that world needs more bite-size turn-based JRPGs - short, self-contained games that you can enjoy over a weekend or a few play sessions when you want a change of pace from big epics. Something that's all killer, no filler. We estimate that a single playthrough of This Way Madness Lies will take around 5-10 hours, depending on difficulty & playstyle, and we hope that you will enjoy every minute!

On Today's lesson of Pro teaches n00bs, Raymond joins me as we go over William Gibson's Unproduced Screenplay for Alien 3. WHY DIDN'T WE GET THIS VERSION? Focusing on Hicks & Bishop, we get a cold War style story & more Xenomorph lore expanded!
The Sulaco — on its return journey from LV-426 — enters a sector controlled by the "Union of Progressive Peoples", a nation-state engaged in an ongoing cold war and arms race. U.P.P. personnel board the Sulaco and find hypersleep tubes with Ripley, Newt and an injured Hicks. A Facehugger attacks the lead commando, and the others narrowly escape, taking what remains of Bishop with them.
The Sulaco continues to Anchorpoint, a space station and military installation the size of a small moon, where it falls under control of the military's Weapons Division. Boarding the Sulaco, a team of Colonial Marines and scientists is assaulted by a pair of Xenomorph drones. In the fight Ripley's cryotube is badly damaged. It's taken aboard Anchorpoint, where Ripley is kept comatose. Newt and an injured Corporal Hicks are awakened, and Newt is sent to Gateway Station on the way to Earth. The U.P.P. sends Bishop to Anchorpoint, where Hicks begins to hear rumors of experimentation — the cloning and genetic modification of Xenomorphs.
The kind of experimentation that could yield a monstrous hybrid, and perhaps even a Queen.

Continuing my new batch of Crowdfunded related videos I'm talking about Ya Boi Zack's newest release, a follow up to his first, Iron Sights! And...it was lukewarm...a bit of a disappointment. I didn't hate it but...well...it felt like Zack didn't have a full on plan here. Let me explain.
It's been two years since the events of the first Iron Sights and Ramadi, the main surviving character from that book, has been working as an enforcer for Esme (the lady he threw his life away to save) and...Esme comes off as a completely different character but we only get just as many appearances with her here as we did in the first book...aka Not that much! And Ramadi is starting to crack and is becoming useless to her.
Then we're introduced to Harm, a deep cover operative recruited by Woods, from the first book, and has been stuck undercover due to Woods's death. He will become our main character for this book. He also has a history with Ramadi and is apparently the reason he had such issues in the first book.
We have a couple Ernie and Griselda who end up on the run after Ernie uploads an expose on the Mexican cartel and it immediately gets them in hot water.
We have Diego, another one of Esme's enforcers who...I guess is questioning his life and is depressed? We don't get much about him despite what he does later.
We get Mel, a tourist who suffers from Schizophrenia, and yet he knows Ramadi very well.
We also get some feds and...you see the problem here? So many characters thrown in at us and things just go all over the map. With the first book, we had Ramadi, Woods, Conway, Ramadi's sister, and a few others. But things were kept very clear who they were, how they connected, and we could follow them from point to point.
Not only that but a lot of plot points are very much glossed over, again different from the first book where, while there were still lingering questions, what we had was satisfying. Character motivations aren't made clear and...well..
Spoiler alert...
Ramadi gets killed off in a VERY Undignified, out of nowhere way and is completely forgotten about the rest of the book. It felt like Rich didn't know what to do with him or a lot of the other plots he set up so he decided to introduce Harm and throw things into the air and figure things out from there. Because, like I said, this book was all over the place, borderline on a mess.
That's NOT to say, as I said before, it was all bad! I'd give it a 6 out of 10 if I had to rate it, and I don't regret getting it...but it was not what I expected...and what I expected was better. If he does another book I'll still back it but I hope he learns from his mistakes.

Now that he knows the unbelievable truth, Bruce needs real answers. Joined by Barbara Gordon and Jason Todd, two former victims of the Joker's brutality, the Dark Knight is finally on a path to defeat the madman once and for all. Every last one of him.

Well two trailers came out this week for two movies I was hesitant about but, after seeing them both, I am either Hyped up or at the very least very interested in seeing. Come see what I feel about the trailers for Hellboy and Men In Black International
