Snark Super Tight vs TC Polytune Clip vs. Helix Tuners (with apologies for the screaming kids down at the pool! and the messy carpet that needs to be vacuumed.) There's a lot of complaints about the Helix tuner not being accurate. I have NOT found this to be the case. Here's a vid I made with a Snark Super Tight, TC Polytune Clip clip on tuners, plus the Helix tuner. As you can see, the tuners are all in reasonable sync. Especially, and this is critical, if you ignore the small top dashed line on the Helix tuner and only pay attention to the big blocks. The dashed line is for super fine tuning! It's difficult, and generally unnecessary to get that centered. Unless you have tuner OCD. I think one of the issues people have with the Helix tuner is that it's FAST. It responds almost instantly to changes in pitch, unlike most pedal or clip on tuners. So this means, when one picks or strums a string to tune it, the slight bend of the string and increase in pitch it causes will be reflected for an instant. Other tuners are a bit "buffered" in that they don't react as quickly. This gives the impression on the Helix that it's "moving all over the place", but if you just relax and let the string ring out, it will stabilize quickly.
