I figured after seeing it listed as an "upcoming" World Quest that it would show up on the last week but why Tuesday of the last week? Events typically happen on Friday. (because they were testing the 5 week schedule they set some events for Wednesday recently) Tuesday is when the updates happen sure but it still feels weird to get a World Quest starting on a Tuesday not a Monday at the start of the week or Friday when events normally happen which also carry quests with them. Not really important. It's a bittersweet quest. We pretty much get closure for last year's story with Ako Domeki. That started out in v1.6 and we wrapped up that story with the release of Inazuma and Seirai Island. But now we're getting to see what happened to his boat. It is a little weird. I'm not sure how this ties into the lore. I mean Miitoboru (It sounds so weird in this pseudo-Japanese. It's actually onikumaru where maru can mean both a ball-shaped thing or a suffix used in Japanese boy names to signify additional affection from his parents; see Sesshoumaru. And niku means meat and the o in front of it just shows more respect like when you see girls say onii-chan. Japanese for meatball is actually niku dango so it doesn't make sense in that version either. I think if anything Onikumaru would mean like "Honorable Lord Meat." It's only directly meatball in Chinese or actually Big Meatball.) -ahem- Miitoboru is only conscious because of the machine that mimicks Kusanali's power. But why? Why would a boat start talking because of desire fulfillment? Does this mean that the Shinto shamanistic beliefs are a part of Genshin's mythos? But then how would that mesh with the overarching Buddhist ideal of the game since Buddhism teaches that everything is illusory and a distraction from the goal of nirvana aka enlightenment aka gnosis? Well maybe we'll learn one day. Also that second thing Kosekimaru tells us is heartbreaking. Curse you miHoYo! Why you gotta keep chopping onions in front of my face? Lisa's up this time and she's the first mage you get. Mages in this game don't have any normal attacks. Their basic attacks are of their element which means they are limited in battle if you find enemies of the same element. But it also means you don't have to wait for a skill cooldown in order to use that element and its effects which come in handy during exploration and farming. Lisa though is not the easiest character to handle. Her skill requires you to stay in one spot and charge it to max before she does a large single hit damage on all enemies in range. Her regular attack is also pretty scattered so it's not very reliable. Using her charged attack is advised. But of course now with characters like Zhongli all you need to do is have his shield up when using her charged attack. Of course by the time you have a character like Zhongli you're probably not in the mood to use any of these base characters. I lucked out and got Fischl right away so I replaced Lisa very fast. You'll see next video. Anyway this video sees me finally getting Anemoculus to level up the Barbatos Statue of the Seven. These guys increase your stamina but at the time I didn't know that so you'll see I have more to give and I don't and I actually encounter about 6 Anemoculus but only go for 2 of them not knowing what was appearing on my map. Finally this video ends the first part out of 3 for the Mondstadt story quest. After doing this you have to get to AR (Adventure Rank) 10 while I'm at 7 at the end of this video. Back then so many people complained about needing to do too much busywork to get the AR to level up. On my end I found AR to level up way too quickly. And here's a comparison. The top players right now are sitting around AR55-56. These are the guys that play for most of the day either streaming or just for fun but they've been bored for months now. That's because the developer hasn't come up with anything beyond AR45. That's where I'm sitting right now but the AR experience doesn't stop accumulating. At AR25, 35, 45, 50 you have to do these dungeons as you saw in my videos before you can increase your AR again but the exp that levels it up keeps coming in as you play the game. I've got enough to bump me right up to AR55 as soon as I do the AR45 and 50 dungeons. Unlike these other players I play for about 1-2 hours daily. Unlike them I still have many many many more quests to get done and so many more treasure chests to find. I only recently did the Liyue story quest and that's only because I didn't want to leave them unfinished before the Chinese New Year event that happened last month. And I'm just a level behind them. AR goes up very fast in this game. So next video I'll be showing you guys how fast pretty much so I'll see you then! You guys know how much I love the Fabulous Fungus Frenzy event. It was a little disappointing last time when it turned into a table top minigame. No more capturing with the Wisdom Orb. No more trainer battles. But it was still nice to catch up with our cast of characters from back then. Another amazing Yae event as always. This time it's at least better than last time. You don't have to go collecting leaves. But it is still a far cry from what we already had back in the first event. Being right there with your Poke- I mean fungi, using your hand to guide them where you wanted them to go or which target to focus on first. That's what Pokemon itself hasn't even done! (also the capture mechanic is just like Pokemon Legends Arceus) I really hope Mihoyo figures that out. This event isn't anywhere close to being the same and the point isn't about how hard the challenges are or how many of them there are. It was about how fun it was to have a new game mode, catch pets, fight with your pets, command them to use attacks and stand beside them as they beat their opponents. (also those cheesy battle dialogues, love how dramatic they are) Ok with that said let's get to battling! So last time I skipped over island 2 because it was far from ready. I've still got a long way to go with that one but it's much more complete now so I was confident showing it off this time. Also yes that's what I was doing with those statues in my previous video. In v1.6 we'll be getting more Load so my mansion will be changed to reflect what I had actually wanted to do with it before hitting that brick wall. I am a little unsure though. Judging from how much Load I should have left after putting in the changes I might have enough for a character which at 1000 Load could also be used to place so many more things. So do I want the character or do I want to spruce the area up with things like trees and a garden? Decisions decisions. Meanwhile the interior is pretty much set in stone. I already made the house for Monax so Mona will be found in her room hard at work and Zhongli will likewise be in his office. I haven't decided yet if I want Ningguang to be there too since they'd likely have much business to discuss. In the main room I'll have Ganyu at reception while Yanfei will take to the stage. I may swap in an out with Xinyan though as the mood strikes me. Fischl will also be occupying her guest room. I also haven't decided whether or not I'll let Hutao visit.
