Rich Paul Speaks to House Judicial Committee on Jury Nullification
After heroically standing up for his beliefs and going to jail for selling cannabis for nearly a year, NHJury.com board member and Free State Project early mover Rich Paul speaks at a hearing on a jury nullification-related bill at the NH state house judiciary committee. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8uU_eegH44
In 2010, Rich Paul founded the yearly mass civil disobedience event on April 20th in front of the state house steps in Concord where cannabis users come to toke up in full public view. After taking a year off from activism in New Hampshire, he has returned to retake his role as the emcee of the well-attended rally where thus far, no one has ever been arrested. Here are some highlights from his speeches at last week’s 420 celebration:

The ATF confiscates a shipment of Airsoft plastic BB guns, Miami considers putting a ban on feeding the homeless, the Downsizer Dispatch, a UK woman in trouble with the law for failing to report buried treasure (yes she found an old coin), and the US government is killing indigenous fish and replacing them with rainbow trout.

I was honored to discover someone from the new White Rose Society had taken some audio from my radio show, "Free Talk Live", where we were discussing the new White Rose and their amazing counter-propaganda activism. I uploaded it to the FreeKeene YouTube and it was nearly immediately removed for violating their "medical misinformation policy", which says, "YouTube doesn’t allow content that explicitly disputes the efficacy of local health authorities’ or World Health Organization (WHO) guidance on social distancing and self isolation that may lead people to act against that guidance."
Here is the video YouTube didn't want you to see, thanks to the uncensorable LBRY platform!

Two bills got hearings in the House State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs committee. The first one, CACR 20 is a proposed constitutional amendment that the people would vote on in an election after being passed by the House and Senate. If passed, it would amend the New Hampshire constitution to say that if the federal government's national debt reached $40 trillion, New Hampshire would secede from the union. The second, HB1130, would form a study commission to study how New Hampshire secession would work and its impact on the economy. Unfortunately, every member of the committee voted that these bills were inexpedient to legislate and then the full House voted 341-24 to kill the bills. But we still want you to hear everyone's testimonies who came out!
A standing-room-only crowd showed up to the NH state house on Tuesday to testify against a bill that would ban Kratom, only to discover that at the senator who submitted the bill changed it at the last minute into a bill that would instead regulate Kratom. It was a sneaky move on the senator's part, as it flipped the energy in the room. Most of the average folks who'd taken time off to come out and speak against the potential prohibition of Kratom were then relieved that it was now a regulatory bill, without understanding that regulations are also bad and will hurt the industry.
Luckily, NH 2020 candidate for governor, "Nobody" was there to testify against both the prohibition and regulation concepts.

The Civil Disobedience panel at Keenevention 2013 was presented by the star of "Victimless Crime Spree" and the host of Peace News Now, Derrick J Freeman. The panel's focus was perhaps the most controversial form of activism -- civil disobedience and noncooperation. Keenevention is certainly not the first time a civil disobedience panel has been presented at a liberty gathering, but it is the first time in many years that Russell Kanning, one of the original movers to Keene, returns to the stage! Russell was instrumental in making Keene the destination for future waves of activists who would emulate his peaceful disobedience. Russell was joined by another original Free State Project mover and liberty civil disobedience pioneer, Lauren Canario as well as yours truly, Ian Freeman.
