Today we’re looking at the brand new Mixer, Audio Interface, Portable Recorder, Podcast Studio from Rode; the Rodecaster Pro. This thing has a fixed A/D conversion of 24-bit, 48kHz, offers +55dB of gain, has onboard processing, a soundboard, auto mix minus, and everything else you would need to start a podcast (as long as you don’t want to multi track, manipulate the processing, or run outboard gear). Let me know your thoughts of this device in the comments.

Today I review the Audient ID4. This is a single mic pre, dual channel interface with 58dB of gain, a low noise floor, a KILLER DI input section, and just about everything that you could need. This may be my new favorite entry level interface on the market.

Today I review a budget dynamic mic which costs about $60. It has so much in terms of low mids that it makes ribbon mics sound weak. It has an inverted polarity on the USB output and it makes the audio sound bad. The headphone amp is noisy if you're monitoring yourself. It is not a good mic and I do not recommend it.

Today I compare two of the most popular voice over microphones on the market, the Neumann TLM103 and the Neumann U87 Ai. I let you hear how they sound for spoken word and a couple of instruments to help determine which of the mics will be right for you and which of these mics you should buy (if you're trying to decide between them obviously).

Today I review the Auna Mic 900B, a budget USB Condenser Mic. This thing is a VERY bright microphone, and it sounds over boosted in the higher frequencies, causing it to sound harsh on voice, and thin on acoustic guitar.
