Color Shift Flip Paint Keyboard Mod (+Dream Theater Cover)
Time to do a DIY modification to my keyboard: I'm spraying the "chromacoat red" (a flip flop, color shift paint) on my c-thru Axis 64 (harmonic table MIDI keyboard). It's one of those spray cans from Custom Paints of the UK.
And maybe there is a very serious Dream Theater - Learning to Live cover at the end, who knows.
Feel free to ask my anything about the new paintjob etc. thank you for watching

Right on time for NAMM2020! The fanciest volume pedal the world has ever seen (probably).
It's a Morley Pro Series Volume Pedal, modded in a sparkling glossy purple and gold flake finish on its base, with a blue flame maple veneer on the pedal.
Bonus Mod: My old DIY FX loop pedal got a new look with an acrylic pour finish (at the first attempt).
Equipment used for sound demos:
Custom REK/Warmoth Hollow Tele
EHX Oceans Eleven Rever Pedal
Xotic BB Preamp (for Overdrive)
Danelectro Univibe
Orange Tiny Terror Amp

My take on a classic Telecaster, built from parts.
Includes all steps it took, including dying the wood and finishing the body.
Did the guitar neck really warp/snap or get twisted?! We'll find out.
Enjoy c:

This is the full build super cut video for my entry to the Great Guitar BUild Off 2023 - Kit Category, which is an online guitar building competition.
I am building a "PR" kit from Guitar Kit World and I'll do a special acid corroded copper leaf (copper patina) design.
In this build I am going to extreme lengths of guitar customization.
I'll do several things for the first time (risky): I'm replacing a fretboard, I'm shaping an asymmetrical neck by hand and I'm installing frets.
I hope you'll enjoy the result.
The voting for the competition will be done amongst the contestants. The results will be announced in December.

This was to keep the fingers in shape ;-)
My version isn't exactly like the original, slightly different arrangement...
The guitar sound comes from a 2x12 in my isolation box (the big white thing behind me).
The isolation cabinet is to make quiet recording with a tube amp possible.
The amp is a Ceriatone 5F4 Super Amp (1962 Fender Super Amp Clone)
In the isolation box is a Mesa Boogie Road King 2x12

I hope you enjoy. I listened to the critique of my last video and made less stupid faces this time ;-)
Music is written (of course) by the amazing Bill Whelan.
All real instruments played by me. Orchestra sounds, percussion and drums are programmed by yours truly.
The guitar amp is a Ceriatone 5F4 Super Amp (clone of a Fender 1947 Super Amp)
The guitar is a Shamray (famous Russian custom shop), it's based on a PRS Singlecut. Absolutely top notch guitar, I love it.

I tell you this: It was an absolutely amazing week.
Mattias IA Eklundh is really one of the coolest guys and best musicians you could ever meet.
At the camp he showed us lots of complicated odd time & polyrhythm stuff, exotic scales amongst lots of other things (also entertaining stories about live as a musician).
The song you are hearing in the beginning is from IA's tuition album "Grow you own Mustache Vol. 1" (an album with practice songs with included notation and tabs), you can get it here:
https://www.freakkitchen.com/shop/product.php?id=69
If you want to go next year, keep watching the http://www.freakguitar.com website, registration for the camp usually starts in February.
