Hi, I am Michaéla Schippers, Professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
I don't speak on behalf of an organization but as a private person.
I am standing here because I have started to long for the things that not so long ago were considered normal and self-evident.
The foundation of our society is one of cooperation and compassion.
Our cohesion is at the core of a force that will heal us from the trauma, we have been suffering.
'health' is so much more than 'the absence of disease'.
Humanity has been able to move forward and become successful, by helping and mutually supporting each other.
I have a dream.
I have a dream, in which everybody can hold each other's hands.
A dream, in which equality, freedom, and democracy yet again are the core values of our society.
Where compassion need not be an act of resistance, or subject to prosecution. Where 'being human' is the norm, and the human scale is leading.
I have a dream in which people can hold each other, where the elderly can go outside again.
Where grandparents, their children, and grandchildren can embrace each other again, and cuddling is the norm.
Where the sick get treatment, the disabled have daytime activities.
Where neighbors help each other without fear.
Where pop concerts and football matches are the foundation for fraternization and cause for the 'super spreading' of love and togetherness.
Isn't that, upon which our society was built? To be each other's biggest fan and supporter?
Today I realize that I long for a society in which 'health' is much more than the 'absence of disease'.
A society in which we embrace mutual respect, creativity, with an equal opportunity for all.
A society that is able to cope with, when abuses are being denounced.
Where it doesn't require bravery to be critical, but where we can speak aloud what we feel in our hearts. Where the virus of fear is being treated with common sense.
I have a dream in which The Nederlands is yet again my homeland, where the grass is green, where we can walk the paths and avenues, free of fear,
where we can go out biking or hiking, together.
I have a dream, that The Netherlands yet again will be a shining example,
of the celebration of freedom, equality, and fraternity. of how to build dikes of love and support.
A society in which my 6-year-old nephew can lipread again without a face mask.
A society, in which the 'toys day' of my 5-year-old son's school
is possible again. This is his deepest desire. Where my son can grow up in freedom, in playfulness, and above all in humanity.
I have a dream, in which we may not be able to stop the Coronavirus,
but we can halt the virus of fear.
Let us rise for freedom, let us rise for humanity, and above all, let us rise for democracy and human rights.

Jos /ˈdʒoʊs/ is a city in the Plateau State of Nigeria, popularly called "J-Town". It is the city where M.I Abaga grew up and he was very reluctant to leave for Lagos in pursuit of his career.
At an altitude of 1,217 m (3,993 ft) above sea level, Jos' climate is closer to temperate than that of the vast majority of Nigeria. These cooler temperatures have, from colonial times until the present day, made Jos a favorite holiday location for both tourists, expatriates, and nationals.
It was the discovery of tin by the British that led to the influx of many ethnic groups,. This "melting pot" of race, ethnicity, and religion makes Jos one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Nigeria.
Unfortunately, it has also been the scene of many violent clashes. It is against the backdrop of one of such conflicts that M.I performs 'Wild Wild West'. In the song, he mourns that the memories of peace in "J-Town" have become a blur.
"J-Town" is a metaphor for the world we live in.

'Tekila' is a song that features elements of modern society in its lyrics. Fear, paranoia, denial and self-love which apparently could be said to be the predominating themes of the artist’s environment.
Notable is the fact that the lyrics make allusions to musical occurrences on the global scene - such as Tupac’s shooting - and this makes listening of the song an interactive experience.
Fallaf is of Turkish descent, currently based in Cyprus.

This is the truth taught to us in an old South African principle, ubuntu, or 'A person is a person through other persons. ' As Archbishop Desmond Tutu describes this perspective, ubuntu 'is not, “I think therefore I am.” It says rather: “I am a human because I belong. I participate.

MELI PEREA presents "LODO", a transformative theme, a song that encourages the construction of our own paths, evoking a creative and strong intention, freeing ourselves from the power we have given to the words of others about our own path. In this new work, Meli has once again collaborated with Ancestral Beats, blending rhythms such as mapalé, Cuban bembé, and turreo.
