Myra's bamboo carinderia is starting on site construction by Cris Bamboo. That means move out chicken cage, move over plants, Myra is coming to town with her carinderia. Hopefully by next week Myra will be making her first "Big Time" video.
I also hope to have he new Website up and operational. I am not sure if I can pull that one off though. As someone told me, "Jack you are running with a full plate of beans. Better slow down so they don't spill." Retired what does that mean ? Oh, working overtime everyday, at what you want.
I have blog http://Jacknorthrup.com/blog . It has some pictures to complement many of the videos, sometimes extended articles and some videos not publicly released on YouTube. If you enjoy our YouTube Channel I am quite sure you will enjoy the blog.

Life is definitely low key and no stress. But, three days to repair a leak like this. It gives me high blood to think about it and it is not my problem. I heard the rumor that the valve won't shut off and the tower has to empty. I find that hard to believe, but certainly not impossible.

Patty Cake Patty Cake Baking Dude
Patty cake patty cake, baking Dude,
I make patty cakes nasty and crude,
Leaves and mud, stirred with a stick,
Eat my patty cakes and, you'll get sick.
Balls of mud, baked in the sun,
Not for eating, I make 'em for fun.
When I get big 'n make patty cakes real,
I'll add pepper and onion peel.
A dash of garlic, a little brown rice,
'N colorful sprinkles, so they look nice.
My little patty cakes will look so pretty,
Grandpa will eat'em even if they taste ..... bad.

WOW, You all have Myra excited about making videos now. She said, "They like me, they like me, look all the thumbs up and comments." Then she grabbed the camera and run off to make a cooking video. So next video is not a Philippine Open Market video but a cooking video. She invented a new Filipino Dish and every one loves it. She said, Maybe they will thumbs up my cooking ha ha ha. I told her it is too bad they can't taste it. they would put their whole hand up waving for more.
This video Myra gets into the vegetable area of the market. I hope you all enjoy, and if you haven't already, subscribe.

I have always loved programming and retired from a career in computer automation. Once again I have gotten very involved in computers. I am an avid Python and JavaScript enthusiast. My retirement in the Philippines began in Sept 6, 2012. I filled a backpack with drawing/art material and a laptop to write and headed overseas to live a dream . I am still in the Philippines. The trends of AI created imagery has opened door to new forms of video creation and computer imagery. I have united my love for video production and Python Flask to create FlaskAppArchitect a video Creator using AI images.

For those of you that do not know, Tsismis means Gossip in Tagalog. The women meet on what I named Tsismis Corner to discuss the theory of life and gossip. As I neared home I saw them and turned the camera on as I walked up. Got a littler bit of Lala in the video. Lala is gaining a few fans out there. ha ha ha she is thrilled that some Americans are commenting about her. She is a very neat and extremely animated young lady. I also noticed that the little neighbor kid is mimicking Myra by sticking his tongue out.

Myra always brings me little gifts. She knows I like street food. I specially like eating the street candy. Because Myra knows I enjoy them, her gifts are often candy or flavored rice in banana leaf packaging. I love the creative packaging.
The banana leaves used in the packaging are often held together with ribbon or long pieces of grass. Half of the candies value is in the attractive little packages they are sold in. I have seen several types of attractive hand made containers. The candies and containers are usually made by the vendors or their families. They usually make and pack the candy or other foods in the evening or early morning. Then the ornate containers are the bagged in large plastic containers. The large bags are then mounted on long stick for easy carrying.
Many candies are worthy, in appearance, to pretty looking candies offered in USA mall candy shops. It is hard to believe they are wrapped using the cheapest material available. Give the Filipino candy makers and candy vendors a thumbs up for creativity.
These particular candies were great tasting small lumps of coconut, peanuts, honey, brown sugar and sugar cane juice. Probably pretty good for you considering they were candy. Each candy was on it's own little banana leaf square. The the small squares stacked and wrapped in a container made from coconut leaf. They were folded in such a way to resemble a rectangular box. Then the folded leaves secured with a piece of ribbon. Nice little gift to buy for a girl friend or for Myra to buy for her Hun-Hun. LOL
