Watch this video for my shrimp tank update. I've had a small shrimp tank for a while now. I keep Cherry shrimp and Orange Sakura shrimp in it. If your're not familiar with them, they're small freshwater shrimp that are supposedly easy to take care of and should reproduce easily and rapidly. I say supposedly because my shrimp tank, in the past has just done so-so. They live and reproduce but the babies never really seem to survive long. I decided to put in some extra time and care into the tank to see if I could make it the successfull shrimp tank I wanted. In this video I show you how to make a drip acclimation system and unbox the new cherry shrimp I just received. Introducing new shrimp to any aquarium can be stressfull to them. No matter how healthy the shrimp are, having them shipped and then introducing them into a tank that has different water parameters than they're used to can shock their systems. The drip acclimation system acclimates the shrimp to to the parameters of the water in your tank slowly giving them a greater likelyhood of survival.
