Today I am sharing a simple thought... How to inspire others. What lights your fire? See… TO INSPIRE OTHERS - YOU HAVE TO BE INSPIRED! It starts with YOU! Inspiration is being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative. We have to work at getting inspired, and inspiring others just as we work at anything else if we want to see results! Inspiration comes through positive energy, and taking action towards a task, and it feeds itself. Positive energy - take action, get more inspired, get pumped up about what is going on, more energy, more action, and so on… it’s a self charging battery. So here are some specifics to get yourself inspired and in doing so… to inspire others. 1️⃣ Teach people. Invest the time to teach the people around you. Sometimes, people in leadership roles (mostly newer leaders) keep their skills to themselves, because if you teach someone else, they may take your spot. Right? --- WRONG! In fact, the more you groom, grow, and teach someone else, the more valuable you become as a leader. Because then people improve, jobs get done better, productivity increases, and we then see better results… and that’s inspiring to everyone! 2️⃣ Be consistent. The more consistent you are at doing your job or a task. The better you get at it. The better you get, the more precise it becomes. You’ll create better quality, you’ll feel better about the job and about yourself. The people around you in your life will see that. It’s inspiring to see other people winning, especially when they are the people that are supposed to be influencing and leading you (that’s you as their leader). 3️⃣ Do good work. Good work, quality work comes from consistency. Consistency comes from passion. And passion comes from being inspired. So they all go hand in hand. You have to first start, then as long as you are started, you can refine and tweak, and make sure that what you are offering is good work. Bonus - Walk the talk. It’s simple follow through. DO what you say you will do.
