This is the second week of my DIY self-improvement program where I aim to come up with an idea for improvement in my life every day. The idea can be a one time action or a small habit to add to my daily routine. I am a believer in the Pareto Principle and predict only about 20 percent of the ideas will end up being done or made into a habit. Of the 20 percent that do get done about 20 percent of them will end up being very effective. I will do another review in 30 days and a final video after 100 days have passed from the beginning to summarize the results.
A few people who appreciate my over 900 weekly helpful videos have saved the Amazon link I will provide below. This is my link to my Amazon page where you can see stuff I have bought and liked a lot over the years. You do not have to buy anything from the page, because just by using my link to enter Amazon anything you buy on Amazon will help me out at no cost to you. In addition, If you save and bookmark the link, you can use it to go to Amazon in the future. A few nice people have done that and it helps my channel out a lot. https://www.amazon.com/shop/robbshomemadelife

I bought an Insta 360 ONE RS 4K action camera. This test recording was at 4 K and 30 fps. Tonight I tested the low light recording and the audio set on wind reduction. I also had the image stabilization on high. The color was on the vivid setting and the sharpness was medium. All other settings were on auto.
The microphone picked up the noise of my feet walking in the grass. The wind noise reduction was fair at best. Earlier I added external microphones using an INSTA adapter and could not get any audio with my wireless mic. I had an identical problem using it on my phone but solved it by using a photography app called open camera. Perhaps Insta can provide a software fix in the future. My lavalier mic worked and was better at wind reduction but surprisingly did not give me a better quality sound. I will do more tests. The audio in the video is entirely from the Insta360 ONE RS camera.
The stabilization and image quality was good to very good in this test in the dark.
The glitches and roadblocks I have had to get usable recordings have been surprisingly numerous. Perhaps I am spoiled and am used to turning on a camera and recording and then connecting to a PC without a hitch. I felt like I was back in the 1980s. I had to do a freakin CHKDSK to access my SD card among many other non-user friendly non-happy camera consumer actions.
I will be doing more tests to help me learn and share what I find. The camera is very promising. Did I mention 2023 is going to be wonderful?
It really is.
Thanks for showing up.

Not many people know this but YouTube now allows viewers to leave a tip by using the thanks button that is below the videos on YouTube at least on some channels.
In addition, I have an Amazon affiliate link, and anything that people buy anywhere on Amazon after they enter Amazon via my link Jeff Bozos throws me a few pennies.
At least until he can get robots to start making YouTube videos and posting links for him. Don't laugh. The robot YouTube video content creators are just around the corner.
You better appreciate Robb's homemade life while you can.

Some doctors and scientists are researching the use of Nigella Sativa and honey as a therapy to treat symptoms of certain ailments. In a recent study, powdered Nigella Sativa seeds were used. I purchased some black cumin seeds on Amazon from Egypt and tried to use my mortar and pestle to grind up the Nigella sativa seeds but was unsuccessful. However, I was able to make the seeds into a powder in only 20 seconds using my Vitamix 3600 blender,
here is a link to a study that uses Nigella sativa and a second link to the FLCCC website which has more information about the uses of Nigella Sativa

I just learned today how to speed up or slow down YouTube videos while I am watching them. It is extremely simple and easy to do.
Basically, all you need to do is plug in youtube.com/html5 in your browser and go to the page and click on the button requesting in the future you use html5 as the default YouTube browser. What this does is give you the option to adjust video speed up or down in the settings which is accessed by clicking on the settings icon below your YouTube video.
I hope this tip helps, please share it with anyone you think might like it and please subscribe as I am trying to grow my channel.
I add new videos every week and have over 300 videos, many playlists of interesting topics and I also feature some cool youtubers on my channel you might like to check out.

I have only ridden it twice so far, so will do a real review of it after I ride it for a while.
However, my preliminary opinion is favorable.
I was impressed as to how easy it was to assemble. It took longer to remove the plastic wrap than to assemble the bike.
I did not read any directions . You do need a 6mm Allen wrench to attach the handle bars.
I have a stationary exercise bike that I never use as it is so boring and since it takes up a lot of space I bought the I-Ped folding bike to exercise more.
I like the fact I can put the bike in my car or trunk. I know places where it is good to fish but there are no places to park the car, so I can park the car farther away and ride the bike to the fishing spot and not have to pay for parking, In the video I did not remove the handlebars and it still fit in the backseat.
I have not ridden a bike in a very long time and this bike seemed a little slow, but at my age and weight and state of physical fitness,, I am thinking it may not be the bike.
I looked at a lot of other folding bikes and this was the best one I saw for the price with 26 inch wheels, or even the smaller 20 inch wheels.. I bought this new for $149. I looked on Craigslist for used folding bikes, and saw very few used folding bikes that were cheaper, and many that had rust on them were still as expensive.
Now, if the bike only had a sail.

How to make easy foolproof stovetop cornbread. I made this cornbread in my little 8 inch Tramontina I got at a thrift store for $1.50. It has been fun trying different recipes with it. I got interested in using a non stickTramontina after I saw Brad at BCTruck make a lot of videos using his different Tramontina pans. I worry about chemicals being gassed off at high temperatures in non-stickpans so have been using recipes with very low temperatures. My favorite so far has been slow-cooked chicken and mushrooms.
The cornbread recipe is simple
One cup Martha White cornbread mix
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
1/8 cup shortening- I used a large tablespoon of coconut oil
the temperature setting on the stove was set on 3, it goes to 10.
I cooked the cornbread for 50 minutes.
I checked with my digital thermometer and the outside of the bottom of the pan was reading about 239 F.
The lid started off around 150 F and after the condensation was all cooked away it read about 194F.
If you like my cooking videos I have a playlist of them on my channel along with a bunch of videos from other people I have liked in the past. Don't forget, some of the people I feature on my channel also have some cool cooking going on.
Finally, I am not a heathen, I eat cornbread with my hands like most civilized people, I only eat cornbread with a fork that I have cooked in the microwave with cheese.
If you like this sort of cooking videos I have a bunch more in one of my many playlists on my channel
