the-death-of-critical-thinking-in-higher
In this video I cover the recent controversy involving Lindsay Shepherd, a Communication Studies TA and Master's student at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada, who was lambasted in a now viral private meeting between her and several members of the faculty in response to her displaying a clip merely featuring Dr. Jordan Peterson. While many have covered this topic, I approach it from the standpoint of the deleterious effects this type of stifling of ideas may have on the intellectual growth of students from extant research on pedagogy methods and best practices.
