ZitaFTP Server Prerelease Coming Soon to AmigaOS 4.x
Here's a small peak at something I've been working on.
ZitaFTP Server is an FTP(S) server that's: - Fast - Secure - Supports multiple simultaneous connections - And more
It's still a work-in-progress, but is useful enough that - all going well - a pre-release version will be released for AmigaOS 4.x on Tuesday 20 August 2019.
Technology enables amazing things... when it works. When it fails, it's a frustrating time sucking mess. In this video I talk about the latest incident of something small turning into a nightmare.

What's the difference between CMake and GNU Make? And why would we choose one over the other? Let's go beyond the surface level difference such as CMake being a "meta-build system," and look at what it's actually like to use them...

In part 9, Scarfy was happily running and jumping about in his 2D world, and even had background music. That's great, but kind of boring. In this episode of the RayLib 2D challenge we add coins for him to collect, using a technique known as "texture atlases."

It's hard to impossible to predict how long a software project will take. So, why have deadlines at all? In this video, Hans uses one of his own software projects (Warp3D Nova) to demonstrate why deadlines are essential to getting software projects finished and shipped to customers. Plus, he also gives a few tips on how to get deadlines (or "target dates") right.

The DIY Laptop was powered via a self-made lithium ion battery pack. This works, but has safety issues because the battery supply chain has no way to verify the authenticity and quality of batteries (i.e., there's a risk of buying dangerous fakes).
So, in this video Hans is testing a new idea: using USB-C battery packs via a small USB-C power sink.

This talk was originally presented (virtually) at AmiWest on 16 October 2021.
I'm pleased to be able to "let the cat out of the bag" about NovaBridge. It's something I've been working on for a while to solve an annoying problem: backward compatibility for old Warp3D software on the Amiga.

In Part 8, physics simulation was added so that Scarfy can run on the terrain. Now, it's time to add atmosphere with background music.
