What's YOUR JW story?
my email address is alibogs@yahoo.com Please put in the subject line "MY PIMO STORY"...or something like that. I don't check my email daily and I've been guilty of mass deleting if the subject line doesn't pop out. =)

A huge part of the healing process for me was speaking MY truth. I didn't know if 1 person would be interested in listening or 1,000...it didn't matter because I was taking back my power and using my voice. They wanted me to keep quiet. They used the label "marked apostate" to intimidate me into submission. Little did I know it would light a fire in my belly and motivate me to "be a lamp on a lampstand." (Matthew 5:15, 16)
If you're reading this, maybe you too want to share your story but you don't have the desire, energy or circumstances to create your own channel. Maybe you want to add your voice to the ever growing community of survivors of Watchtower. Maybe you're a PIMO (physically in, mentally out) and you're struggling and you just want to vent. Or maybe you're POMO and you're shunned because youre using your free will. Your story matters.

I don't even know if this is something that will take off, but I want to make myself available to anybody who would like to share their story. There are other wonderful platforms where people can share (interviews on channels like EXJW Fifth, Shunned Podcast, and many more.)

Write your mini memoir in an email and I will simply read it. Create a new name for yourself and start writing...... Here are some questions that might help you start....
How did you come to be involved with JWs?
What is your status right now?
Did/Do you have a position of responsibility in the org?
How many years have you been a JW?
When did you start to question the teachings of WT?
What does it feel like to attend meetings and not believe in WT doctrine?
What do you do during meetings?
How have your relationships with JWs changed? Has anybody noticed a change in you?
How does your mental and emotional health feel in your situation?
What are your fears?
What are you learning about yourself during this time?
What would the "best case scenario" look like?
Are you able to be open and honest with any of your family about your doubts?
Have the elders tried to corner you or schedule a "shepherding visit?"
Around what year did you start waking up?
What specifically helped you wake up?
What tools, online groups, therapy, etc are helping you cope with your situation?
What message do you want those of us who are no longer associated with JWs to hear or know to help those still inside?
Have you had any interesting conversations with circuit overseers or "heavies" in the org?
Do you still go door to door? If so, what is that like?
What are your goals and dreams for the future?
Do you still believe in a God?
