Remembering Rampert - Ministry Memories
Rampert is a composer of songs like the Marriage song, Strange Logic, I have a hope, Kingdom People, Scriptunes, etc. After he began to follow Jesus, he started as a freelance evangelist. He ministered with King's Messengers, then in Navodaya Team, FMPB, RZIM and then our own ministry Legacy of Life from 2009.

These songs are Scriptures set to tune to aid Scripture memorization. The verses are all from the New International Version 1984 edition (used with permission). All songs were set to tune by Rampert Ratnaiya and this version of "Scriptunes" was released around 2002 (remix) by the Friends Missionary Prayer Band. Many people put their shoulders to this project. Ashok Vedhanayagam initiated this remix on behalf of Friends Missionary Prayer Band. The various singers are as follows.

It has been a long time desire for us, to once again interview Patrick Annan, on the theme of prayer. By Divine providence, God made all things fall in place for us. Mr. Patrick Joshua, who headed the National Prayer Network, was familiar with the prayer closet. His life, by the grace of God, was lived in an atmosphere of prayer. This seems a tall mountain to climb. However Annan in simple terms lays down a few suggestions that brings prayer into the right perspective, an experience all can aspire for. There is a cost to pay however. Personal sin and selfishness will bar the gates to the heights that can be attained. But the treasure at the other end is God Himself, the greatest incentive one can have, to follow this path. May God bless all of you as you listen to his thoughts as they blessed ours. - Rampert And Meghala.

Thy Word my song, is a series dedicated to Scripture memorisation. Each episode or module is titled "Take 5" because, as the title implies, these videos are 5 minutes long or under 5 minutes in length. Each video contains one or more Scripture verses set to tune. When the song is learnt, the verse/verses contained in it have been memorised.
Setting Scripture verses in tune is not something that I have started to do recently. It is something that I have been doing since the late 1980's. The earlier effort resulted in a music album entitled "Scriptunes," which was produced by the Friends Missionary Prayer Band, Chennai, India. I do believe it is an useful aid for certain kinds of people, therefore I am continuing the effort. I hope you find it a blessing.
