We always get emails from people asking if their sliders are genuine Dr.Pulley® or complaining about the durability of their sliders because they often become poor and the variators are seriously worn.
Finally, as correspondence continues we begin to understand their sliders are in FAKE and most of these consumers are mislead by this statement that has been publicized on Youtube, "We get a lot of crazy requests on brands, so I wanted to post a little more on all the brands out there. These FAKE sliders may have the similar shape but actually they don't have the correct design and the most serious issue is that the "poor triblogical properties " of these fake sliders will attack the Aluminum-made variator seriously.

The movement of sliders in the variator is only SLIDING UP & DOWN
without any rolling so the friction coefficient of the SLIDER material must be very low to be sliding easily and the SLIDER material must not contain any ABRASIVE components, otherwise the variator will seriously wear down and its surface will become roughened like sanding paper. If this happens, the slider will be quickly worn down by the roughened variator.

Dr.Pulley® sliders are molded from proprietary self-lubricated composites (SL-9T),its features include:
