I'll start making the reservations once I have bought the plane tickets. Museums: Between $350 and $600 ($450 most likely) There are 31 museums on my "must go" list. Some of them have free entrance and many have low fares on visiting. But... if you want to videotape - things go wildly crazy. For instance the House of Terror in Budapest charges 2000HUF ($7) in entrance fee. But to let you videotape, the fee is another $15. Now, not everywhere is that bad - But, drawing from the Ukrainian experience, I do expect to spend about as much as I spend on housing to get permission to videotape overall. And this is an expense I can't avoid. What would be the point of the tour if I can't videotape and publish here? :) Other expenses: $195 Food: $150 (max) - Food is remarkably cheap in all three countries and very qualitative. I don't expect to spend more than $120 on food for the entire period. Other groceries: $30 - Read: Water. August is the time of extreme heat. Especially in Georgia and Hungary. Currency exchange waste: $15 - I'll use cash entirely which cuts back on some of the waste (lower fees) - but I still do expect to waste between $10 and $15 on this issue alone for the entire period.
