How to install a pool safety cover with a diving board
From http://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/safety-covers.html - Steve talks about how to install a safety cover on a swimming pool that has a diving board. Some people remove the diving board (and base) for the winter and if so you can install the deck anchors anywhere. If you prefer to leave the diving board in place in the winter then request a Y strap from your cover manufacturer. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWCEpQstvuA

From http://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/filter-pressure.html - Learn what clean operating pressure is and what it means for your swimming pool filter. When you run your system at maximum speed with clean filter elements, the number that registers on the filter pressure gauge is your clean operational pressure. This is where the green indicator arrow on the gauge gets turned to for quick reference to know when to clean your filter elements. When the pressure reaches 7 to 10 psi higher than your clean operating pressure it is time for cleaning.

http://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/pump-reviews.html - Learn how many hours per day you should run your variable speed pool pump. Unlike single speed pumps you should not measure your filtration schedule by hours, but instead by the amount of flow that you are able to achieve as well as how much electricity it costs. For more on filtration schedule programming for variable speed pumps you can read this article: http://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/vs-programming.html

From https://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/vs-schedules.html - Watch the testing of flow rates and power consumption of a 24-hour filtration schedule for a swimming pool with an electric heat pump. This is only a test and all of the values seen in this video are unique to this plumbing system only. If this test were to be repeated on another system, the numbers will probably be quite different.
For this demonstration, we are using the 1.5 horsepower Black + Decker Variable Speed Pump paired with a 150 square foot Hayward cartridge filter and 1.5" PVC pipes. The system has approximately 35' total dynamic head. This particular schedule using this size pipe filters just over 74,000 gallons of water for $1.55 per day (based on the national average electricity cost of $0.13/kWh). Knowing the flow rate of the plumbing system for your swimming pool will help to dial in an efficient filtration schedule that will meet the requirements for your pool.
The programmed schedule is as follows:
1. 2000 RPM: 6am-2pm
2. 2500 RPM: 2pm-8pm
3. 2000 RPM: 8pm-4am
4. 3200 RPM: 4am-6am
See the same 24 hour schedule demonstrated on a 2" plumbing system here:

From https://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/spa-foam.html - Using essential oils in a hot tub is not really a good idea. These oils can build up over time which can definitely cause water chemistry issues. Oily substances like lotions, sunscreens, makeup, essential oils and body oils can build up in the water which creates unwanted foaming and clogs up the paper hot tub filters. Often, products like enzymes and oil absorbing sponges are used to help remove excess oils from the water to help prevent these issues. A few drops of essential oils is not going to break anything but using them repeatedly can cause oil build up and essential oils are not intended to be used with hot tubs and hot tub chemicals.
