Xiaos Grandfather followed the trail to America, hoping to find these "Overlords of money". Xiao was no Spy... the Chinese military used her as "Cleaner" - she was a weapon, trained to clean out any structure effectively. About 2,5 years after he left, Xiao was able to follow him to America - with her complete family. The family had never been patriotic. And the knowledge that global annihilation was coming made them quite aggressive.
