Before launching straight into our list of hair loss solutions, we believe it’s best to have a good understanding of why hair loss even occurs and how it works first. You know why? Because hardly ANYONE talks or knows about it.
In fact the lack common knowledge around the topic of hair loss is the main reason men do nothing about it when they start experiencing it. They just think “Well this sucks, but it’s my genetics and I can’t do anything about it.” WRONG!
Once you understand how hair loss works, you’ll be in a far better position to manage it and even reverse it depending on what stage you are at.
So here’s what you need to know about hair loss first…
Understanding Hair Loss 101
Hair loss can indeed be a scary topic and what’s even scarier is that it will affect more than 50% of males before the age of 50. It’s also common for some men to be experiencing hair loss even in their early 20’s and no matter a man’s age, hair loss can have significant impacts on our social lives and leave a man feeling like an alien and full of shame.
Although hair loss can inflict crippling shame on your self esteem, it’s important to remember that it’s actually a very normal condition and there are tons of people out there experiencing the same thing. But why is this even happening in the first place?
There can be multiple factors as to why hair loss occurs but the most common cause of hair loss is pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness is usually genetic and is caused by an excess production of the hormone known as DHT (Dihydrotestosterone).
Although DHT is a normal and necessary hormone for our body, it is prone to attaching itself the hair follicles on the scalp (particularly the crown and temples) and when there are excessive amounts of it, it begins to suffocate the follicle until death.
This is what causes receding hairlines and that odd donut shape that you see on older guys. Pattern baldness is a slow process and can take some time, but if left unattended can lead to permanent hair loss.
Also, just a side note, all of the solutions mentioned in this blog post are also listed in the “Men’s Guide to Hair Growth”. The Men’s Guide to Hair Growth is an excellent resource written by Ken Fryer who suffered extreme hair loss in his early 20’s. He’s very passionate about this subject and is currently dedicating himself to helping men with hair loss.

Hey guys and welcome back for yet another hairstyles for men with long hair video! Today we’re not going to be talking about how to grow long hair for men like we usually do, instead we are going to be having a look at some of the perfect jobs for guys with long hair. Sound good? Let’s roll.
I thought this topic would be a really interesting one to bring up as a few weeks back I was scrolling through the Man Buns & Manes Facebook group and saw that 1 member in particular was asking about what kind of jobs would be good for him as a guy with long hair.

So where was I again? Oh yeah, perfect jobs for guys with long hair. There was quite a bit of engagement in on the post and I thought it might be worth while sharing my 2 cents in video for and then repitching the question in the group to see what members had to say and document it here. Well the answers were pretty interesting and humbling if you ask me. I’ll let you find out more about what exactly was said in the private group by watching the video but I will let you know how I view perfect jobs for guys with long hair in this description at least haha.
Ok so, really in a perfect world, how your hair looks shouldn’t matter one bit or indicate how well you can do the job. How you do the job is what counts. I do think though that with the way the corporate world has been built in our society makes having long hair pretty difficult as a certain image and idea of what IS presentable in the corporate world has been associated with status and money. These 2 things are primal drivers for a person to live in this day and age.
What happens next is this image is then translated to “If you don’t look or act like the higher ups then you have no hope of achieving the same status” and naturally to our ego this has a negative connotation because all our ego wants is to be important and be safe. So suddenly this image is tied to status which everyone wants to some degree and therefore if you don’t match the criteria to achieve the status, why would you not look “presentable”.
You know what I mean? It’s pretty much a big pile of bullshit that really shouldn’t matter at all lol.
But, the reality is this kind of thing exists so in my honest opinion, I think it’s best to really research the brands or companies you are wanting to/looking to work at and look at what they stand for before applying.
For me personally, I would only work for a company that valued people as individuals and encourage you to express your unique flare. Obviously in every workplace there are rules to be followed and guidelines that need to be met but havin

The main takeaways from doing this wash n go routine were the AMAZING curl definition it gave me. I said this a few times in the video, I had used all these products before separately but not cocktail together and I was SO surprised with how my curls turned out and I’d love to know your thoughts on it.

I'm very, very excited to show this to you guys and use it for the first time. Oil's a really good product to put in your hair after you've done all your straightening or curling, whatever you're going to do to it, and they make it look shinier, they keep it hydrated and make it look healthier.
So, I've been waiting so long for BluMaan to bring out a healthy hair product kind of thing and they've finally done it. They've sent me over a piece, and the launch is happening very, very soon. So, make sure you stay tuned and let's get into the hair curling.
Okay, where do we begin with this? My hair in the beginning of this video what it looks like straight after I shower and then blow dry it. I've also put a bit of straightening balm in there. The straightening balm I use in this video is from Davroe. What I find straightening balm's really good for is just a smoothing agent. It helps relax all my cuticles a little bit more so when I put the heat on it, it looks shinier, it looks healthier and that's part of my gig, really; I always use it every time I do anything with heat.
I've also got my Sebastian Trilliant Heat Protector. I previously mentioned we've got the BluMaan Cloud Control Oil which I'm very excited to use for the first time, and I've also got some Ibis clips from Yours Truly, bhave.
The Ibis clips are just for holding my hair in place. The flat iron is for obviously making the curls happen, the heat protectant is to protect me from the heat and the oil is to finish the hairstyle.
When it comes to curling your hair with a flat iron, there's a very specific technique you will need to master in order to get it right and I cover all the things you need to know in this video. I'd try and explain it in written form except I just thinks it's easier if you watch the video haha.

Loving things about yourself usually gets pushed to the back of our to do list simply because we try and be our best at all times and it doesn't always work, which can result in negative emotions like not feeling good enough and not feeling an self worth.
In lots of cases when people look in the mirror they automatically choose to look the shitty things about themselves, like pimples or freckles or cellulite probably because it doest appear the way they want it to, rather than choosing to look and admire the good things about themselves.
training yourself to CHOOSE to look at the good things about you is one of the most healthiest choices you can make for yourself.

The reason I wanted to make a video on how to blow dry hair for you guys was because not long ago I posted a picture on my instagram (https://www.instagram.com/thomasinaction/) where I did a salon blowout and a lot of you asked whether I could to a hair tutorial on how I achieved the look soo, here it is!
If you’re a guy who always thought a hair dryer is off the cards for you because it always makes your hair seems poofier than what you’d like, then this video is definitely for you.
I was the exact same with my long hair until I learnt how to use a blow dryer & how to use a round brush in my hair course.
There was one lesson in particular that covered exactly how to get a salon blowout at home and after watching it everything just clicked and I thought the info was too good not to share because well, we all deserve awesome hair right?
So, in order to achieve a hairdresser blowout that you would expect when you actually go to the hairdresser, you need a few things including:
1. If you’re planning on achieving a wavy blowout, straight blowout or volume blowout you will definitely need a hair dryer lol. In today’s video I’ll be using my Dyson Supersonic. You don’t need a super expensive hair dryer for this as a hair dryer is a hair dryer…
At the end of the day, I just love the Dyson Supersonic for its features and the way it’s designed just makes the process of styling so much easier.

2. You’re going to need a roundbrush to hold your sections nice and tight whilst we blow dry. I also use a Dyson vented ceramic roundbrush. It came as a free gift when I bought my Supersonic. I feel like I have neglected a the whole hair growth journey little bit. And here's why. Where I'm at, I'm kind of thinking about all the things I want to create. And then I'm kind of forgetting where you guys are at. I know there's so many of you that are still out there growing your hair, and you need some sort of inspo, and I thought, "Shit, how could I let that go for so long?"
I mean, I've stopped doing the hair growth check-ins for now. I think in the next sort of couple months, I'll probably do another check-in just to show you where it's up to, because it literally is nearly at my nipples. But yeah, and I thought that's really bad of me, because I kind of started this journey. I know a lot of you guys are loyal. I get so many questions in my Instagram inbox about it, and I thought, "Well, it's about time to film some more hair growth content."
Today I'm just going to be talking about things to consider before growing your hair out. You may already be in the guts of growing your hair out, which is totally cool, or you might be still considering it. Either way, you're probably going to find this video quite useful, and you can take some tips away from it that, yeah, you'll find useful. So, I hope you enjoy!
All right, so the first thing that I wanted to cover in considering cutting your hair out is, how are you prepared for the negative bullshit? Okay? It is a super weird thing. I don't know why so many people care about how your hair looks. I know for me personally, I guess in real life, because I do work from home and everything, I'm quite secluded. I've only ever really got my friends around. I'm not really in public environments like school or work or anything like that where people have a chance to even comment negative things about my hair.
But the one place I really did experience the whole, "You look shit, this sucks, why are you doing that? You look gross," is particularly online. And I live here a lot. I'm online a lot of the time. I make videos every single week. So, of course, I'm getting comments here, there, and everywhere. And some of them are really negative and crappy.
What I want you to take forward with this is, you've got to be kind of prepared for that. When you go to your job or if you're going to school, people are going to say things about it, and you either have to come up with a list of com
