This is the first episode screened but not recorded of the action adventure cop drama of the late 70's.Hated by critics but loved by viewers during its popular run.In this episode a Scientist shows what he can do first by poisoning the water filer in a factory, then by threatening to do same in the Thames.Main guest star is Keith Baron as the idealist Scientist.Hope you enjoy it.
The first Roger Moore Bond film and one of his best ones. They really pulled out the stops to give the new Bond a very enjoyable start. It still moves along at a good pace and unlike some Bond films isn't overlong.
The story moves to Egypt at this stage.Well a sand quarry in Kent probably. With a suspension of belief in terms of the location still a very good episode though.
Tom Baker is nicely post regeneration bonkers in this episode. After Jon Pertwee's measured 5 years in the role some viewers must have wondered what they were getting with Tom when first shown.
There is more hassle over the School Uniform topic, especially from Jess, the Sara Sugerman character.More fun is a cricket match organised by Bullet Baxter.
The story picks up again,to near the heights of the promising Part One.It was an unfortunate tale to end a very successful run though.Especially as from then it aired twice a week.So no new episodes followed this for 9 months after. There would have been some repeats duting that Summer on BBC 1 but that's all.Tegan did return the next run.The twist ending here was devised by the Producer to keep viewers on their toes.
The last story of Peter Davison's first very successful season in the role.Follows the very popular Earthshock as is seen as a letdown to end a well received run.Its not all bad though, part 1 and 4 in particular have some good material.Concorde has disappeared mid flight, the Doctor and co get involved. They then follow Concorde's flight path to find what happened.
