Chemicals in Orange Theory Fitness wet wipes are BAD for your health. Listen, I love OTF but I HATE the sani-wipes! We go through dozens per class and thousands per week in our studio alone. I am on a mission to get my studio to change to reusable towels and eco-friendly solutions like isopropyl alcohol. Conventional cleaning solutions are filled with toxic chemicals that are bad for people and marine life, effecting fish AND us like we're taking estrogen! I am the OTF member who spoke with you a little while back about changing to sani-wipes with fewer chemicals in them. Those chemicals seep into groundwater and run-off into waterways. Many of the cleaning solutions used have estrogenic effects on marine life, for instance causing male fish to create egg yolk protein (and having potentially deleterious effects on their reproductive abilities – not good when our wild salmon are endangered here in Puget Sound). The chemicals can also affect humans similarly. They are often hormone and thyroid disrupters. I have pasted some links below for further info.
