23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? 26 Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:23-27)
Many have yet to experience real life in Christ because they are holding on to a lot of things or persons in this world which prevent them from glorifying God by surrendering to Him fully. These are called false attachments. These things or persons are not necessarily wrong or evil. But we make them more important than loving and serving God wholeheartedly. Thus, they become our idols.

https://join.rlcc.ph/supportMain Idea: “To follow Jesus we must get rid of our false attachments.” (“Para makasunod kay Jesus kailangan bitawan natin ang mga maling kinakapitan natin.”)
Why should we get rid of all attachments to follow Jesus?
Three Important Reasons
1. This is the only way to experience real life (vv.23-25).
2. This is the only way to escape final judgment (v.26).
3. This is the only way to encounter the kingdom of God (v.27)
