Não é nenhuma novidade que eu sou apaixonado por samba, mas essa música tem um lugar especial reservado no coração.
Toda vez que estou numa roda de samba (saudades, inclusive) e ela toca, é possível sentir a energia contagiante dos músicos e de quem está em volta, todo mundo cantando a plenos pulmões e um sorriso genuíno no rosto de cada pessoa a compartilhar daquele momento.
Enquanto uma roda de samba continua sendo algo distante - pelo menos pra mim - fiquemos com um sambinha feito na sala de casa com os amigos com uma cerveja gelada.

Everybody by now should already know how much I love samba, but this specific song has a special place in my heart.
Everytime I'm in a 'roda de samba' (how much I miss that) and this songs is played, it's posible to feel the contagious energy from the musicians and everybody who is around them, everybody singing out loud and genuinely smiling, ecstatic to be part of that moment.
While a 'roda de samba' is still something distant - at least for me - I'll let you all with a small cover played in my living room, alongside my friends and a stupidly cold beer.

The last 3 weeks have been a completely mess in my life, but in the end, we have to be glad to be alive and doing what we love the most - skateboarding, art, culture.
I had contact with people who got COVID-19, so I had to stay quarentined for 14 days - no skating at all - and I don't even need to say I was going crazy. Working as fuck, not being able to shred around the streets, share some beers and joints with ma homies, anything. Just working, eating, sleeping.
Man, I'm not made for that!!!
This was my first skate session in a while, in which we were taking pictures to SoMa new collection (https://skatesoma.com/).
I have no idea how I did that, but I learned 3 tricks this day.
Sometimes it's good to stay a while away from our boards - we get so anxious and excited to skate again that we unblock something in our mind that allows us to skate even better. Well, better isn't the correct word since all the tricks were reaaaaally sketchy, but let's include "more creative" in this better and everything is fine hahahaha

In honor to a great skateboarder from my city, "It's just some fun I have" hahahaha
I had this wardrobe dismounted next to my house for the past 1 or 2 months and it annoyed me a lot the fact that I didn't throw it away. One day, after a good night sleep and awesome conversations with my mate, I decided to put it all together in order to skate it. I ended up with an awesome manual pad hahahaha
That's the best part of skateboarding. Having fun with what seemed just garbage to average people. Resignifying small things from everyday living, like the curbs we love so much.

Sempre foi um sonho ter uma videopart e sempre culpei o destino, as lojas ou os cameras a minha volta por isso não ter acontecido. No último ano, depois de praticamente 2 anos sem andar, por falta de vontade, companhia e por não achar que eu andasse bem, voltei ao carrinho graças ao amigo de longa data, Durval Puterman. Sem palavras pra te agradecer. E nesse processo comecei a me responsabilizar mais pela minha vida, de forma geral. Daí nasceu a vontade de voltar a filmar e editar esse videozin.
Peguei todas as imagens que tinha no computador, de 2014 até esse ano, e juntei com essa música foda, da banda Dope Lemon. Acho que ela diz muito sobre como me sinto dando rolé e a vibe que quero passar aos que tão comigo.
Enfim, chega de textão e desabafo nessa porra, e vamo logo pro vídeo. Aperta o beck (hoje é 4 e 20, né?!), desliga a luz, aperta o play e espero que gostem.

Canela-em-Itaipava
Um dos meus primeiros rolés na pista de skate nova em Itaipava/Petrópolis - RJ.
Como esperávamos, a pista saiu com vários defeitos em razão da empresa que ganhou a licitação não ser especializada em construção de pistas. Mesmo contatando a RioRamp e eles tendo cedido o projeto que usariam, a empresa/prefeitura ignorou os avisos dos skatistas - para quem a pista se destinava.
Resultado? O quarter tem um ovo no meio. A pirâmida e o curb são ásperos na parte de cima. As cantoneiras não são da melhor qualidade. O melhor obstáculo disparado foi o curb/palco de manual em dois níveis, bem no meio da pista.
Apesar dos reveses, os petropolitanos se amarraram na pista e todo final de semana tava ficando lotado, antes da quarentena nos afetar. Há anos exigimos uma pista decente na cidade e/ou uma reforma na pista já existente no Centro da cidade, que é chamada carinhosamente pela galera de "Cinzeirão". Quem não conhece, dá uma pesquisada depois, "Praça Duque de Caxias - Petrópolis, RJ" e vão se ligar no que tamo falando. Basicamente uma miniramp mal construída, uma 45º e um curb, que foi construído pelos skatistas das antigas, anos 2000, por aí.
Petrópolis mesmo assim tem uma cena forte, graças aos resistência que mantiveram e fomentaram a cena desde os anos 90, quando a Catedral e o Marovil eram os picos da cidade. Agradecimento especial ao Edu Pessanha 'Stuart' e a Soma Skate Arte, a única skateshop da cidade.

I love the fact my sister and mainly my brother like skateboarding.
Maybe it doesn't come even close to how much I love it, but we sometimes have these moments to skate together, filming together... basically having fun together!
This specific video was filmed in the end of July when we were visiting our grandma. On the way to her house there's this huge bombhill, which I've dreamed nearly my whole life, and now I started skating it.
There's still a long way to really drop it all, but I'm already happy with those moments we shared together.
Hope you guys enjoy!
And seriously, listen do my sister on the first footage saying "Caraaaaaalho" when I do a Frontside 180 to the street, in front of a truck!
