We arrive in Norion and all hell has broken loose. It's a war now and Samus must work to restore the planetary defense systems. Why? Because the space pirates decide to send a large ship on a collision course to the planet. That's insane. It gets worse when eventually you have to contend with Meta Ridley. Yes, Meta Ridley survived his fight with Samus in Prime 1. He's out for blood and he's part of this invasion too. The fight itself requires a lot of precision with your shots as you are freefalling. Make them count because you're boned if you die. Eventually the other Bounty Hunters come to help out but that's for naught due to the likes of Dark Samus. Dark Samus unleashes a phazon blast that takes out the hunters and infuse them with Phazon. Samus, with whatever energy she has left, activates the defense systems and saves Norion. One month passes and Samus wakes up. She then learns from doctors that she has phazon that is growing in her body. As such, she's outfitted with a PED suit aka Phazon Enhancement Device. Basically she can go Hypermode letting her use Phazon as a weapon and it has its uses. But there's a drawback. Spend too long in hypermode and the gauge will fill. If it fills completely, game over. Also after 25 seconds, you get kicked out of Hypermode. Samus meets with AU 242 and is ordered now to head to Brryo to find Rundas who has gone missing. We finish up in Crystal Caves with the remaining Kongs and then DK has his rematch with Army Dillo. Unlike the first fight, Army Dillo now has some new tricks such as unleashing shockwaves. After you hit him a third time, he'll do shockwaves again followed by a volley of blasts. Then he fires a heat seeking missile that is VERY easy to dodge. Just throw a dynamite at him afterwards and the fight's over. With the sixth key in tow, we'll be set for the seventh area. HOWEVER, there's a loose end to take care of and that is that stinking race with the wabbit. I had to cheat to win. I don't care. It can go to hell. I promised that I would do the other Zelda games and here it is. Bear in mind that I'm only one person who can only do so much. But hey, what can you do? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. This is an HD remake of the original Wind Waker, that was released in 2002/03. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Nintendo would release an HD version of The Wind Waker, adding with it a lot of QoL improvements. The end of Ocarina of Time served as the catalyst for the timeline splitting in different directions. Before Hyrule Historia, timeline theorists had the idea that there were two timelines due to the actions of Princess Zelda. In 2011, Nintendo would reveal that there are three timelines in the official Zelda timeline. In one timeline, young Link warns Zelda & the king of Ganon's plans and in doing so, sets up the events that would follow in that branch. In another timeline, Link would fall and the Triforce would end up in Ganon's hands, dooming Hyrule. But in this timeline, Zelda sent Link back to the past. She would then oversee Hyrule's restoration. Many years would pass and the seal that held Ganon in place weakened. Ganondorf breaks it and planned to make good on his promise. He led an invasion of Hyrule and the people prayed for the Hero of Time to return... but he never came. With all hope lost, the King, Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule left Hyrule's fate to the Gods. It's then that Din, Nayru and Farore informed the people to head for the mountaintops. Why? Because the gods knew that sealing the people away along with the kingdom would grant Ganon's wish. Then they went and flooded Hyrule, sealing it away in the process. As long as Hyrule remained sealed away, Ganondorf wouldn't return. Hundreds of years would pass and our story begins on Outset Island. The story focuses on a new incarnation of Link. It's his birthday and he ends up wearing the Hero's Clothes. Sadly that special occasion would change as a large bird was chased by a pirate ship. The bird, the Helmaroc King would be struck and it's prey would land on the forest. Link would go and check, only for it to reveal the pirate leader Tetra. But then that bird comes in and kidnaps Link's sister Aryll. This has Link heading off with Tetra's crew, leaving his old home behind. They then head for the Forsaken Fortress. What follows is Link going full Metal Gear Solid as he avoids detection, disables the searchlights and recover his sword. But just as he is ready to save Aryll, the Helmaroc King shows up and captures Link. It brings Link to the leader of the Fortress and he orders the bird to get rid of him. So it throws Link away, leaving him for dead. The next day, he wakes up to encounter a boat known as the King of Red Lions. Link gets some exposition learning the leader of the Forsaken Fortress, Ganondorf. Ganondorf had broken the seal and has amassed an army. What for? We don't know. But for starters, Link has his work cut out for him as his journey has only begun. This is only Part 1.
