Castlevania - NES - Full Playthrough No Commentary
Here is a game that surely needs no introduction. This is a full playthrough of the first Castlevania game for the NES on it's regular difficulty. If I were to continue on this playthrough and let the game restart after the credits, then I would be playing the Hard difficulty of the game, which I will do at a future date.
If anyone game to the Castlevania series later than the NES games, especially the GBA or Playstation games, than this game will seem rather linear (it is) and clunky (it's not really). While it does lack the fluidity of movement later 2D C games have, it's controls do seem tight, but tuned to add difficulty. There is a slight delay on your whip, and the slowness of walking up stairs when there are skeletons or Medusa heads flying at you can be incredibly frustrating.
All in all this is an excellent beginning to one of my favorite game franchises.

Looks like the Team has been tasked with getting the SeeD ID number from a lost unit in the Tomb of the Unknown King. This dungeon is a little bit of a maze puzzle but it has some excellent rewards if you can figure out the pattern. While inside the Tomb we run into a pair of Minotaur brothers. After a showdown or two they submit to the party and become our newest GF, Brothers.

What happened to Rinoa? We find Squall in his bed on Balamb Garden and then see him in the infirmary lamenting over a comatose Rinoa. We venture to the old orphanage and find Headmaster Cid and a changed Edea or maybe more appropriately an depossessed Edea. After playing Triple Triad and winning the Edea card we're given a deeper understanding of what is really going on and who our new enemy is, Sorceress Ultimecia. Now we must tell the rest of the Garden and find a way to stop the new looming danger. In order to save Rinoa we must find Ellone on the White SeeD ship but on the way we are treated to another Laguna episode.
