Welcome to a small mini series covering the automation of my own apartment in Brasilia. So many light bulbs and light switches in the living room - impossible to remember, what switches turn on which set of light bulbs. And that long way to get the coffee machine started in the morning... Time to do some automation. In the first parts of this series, you can follow me on my path to getting the living room straightened out (some funny surprises included), the coffee machine turning on automatically, and some open source voice assistance.
