Final Fantasy XI #178, Promathia: Sheltering Doubt; The Savage; Riverne - Site #B01

Previously, Heorot carried out Promathia Mission 3-4: "Tending Aged Wounds" and Promathia Mission 3-5: "Darkness Named" in Jeuno and Pso'Xja. This concluded Promathia Chapter 3: "A Transient Dream". Now, Heorot will start Promathia Chapter 4: "The Cradles of Children Lost" with Promathia Mission 4-1: "Sheltering Doubt". The first step is to return to the Tavnazian Safehold.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He heads outside.
Bastok Mines (time 0:53):
Heorot teleports to the Tavnazian Safehold, Tavnazia.
Tavnazian Safehold (time 1:15):
When Heorot zones into the Tavnazian Safehold, a scene takes place to introduce Promathia Chapter 4: "The Cradles of Children Lost". The scene involves Prishe, Ulmia, Justinius, and Despachiaire.
After regaining control, Heorot goes through the southern Walnut Door at K-9 on the top level. At K-10, he talks to Despachiaire. A cutscene takes place with Despachiaire and Tenzen. Heorot's next task is to find Ulmia.
At J-6, Heorot talks to Justinius for another scene. Justinius reveals where Ulmia has gone.
On the middle level of the Tavnazian Safehold, Heorot takes the southerly exit at H-6 to the Misareaux Coast.
Misareaux Coast (time 10:26):
Heorot passes through the Dilapidated Gate at I-11. A scene with Ulmia takes place on her secluded cape. This concludes Promathia Mission 4-1: "Sheltering Doubt".
Promathia Mission 4-2: "The Savage" begins. Next, Heorot must accompany Ulmia to Bahamut's home at Monarch Linn. That doesn't sound particularly safe, though!
At K-10, Heorot enters the Tavnazian Safehold.
Tavnazian Safehold (time 20:29):
He takes the northerly exit at H-5 to the Misareaux Coast.
Misareaux Coast (time 21:09):
Heorot goes through the Dilapidated Gate at F-7. A scene takes place with Ulmia, Justinius, and Tenzen. The Chebukki triplets also show up to cause problems.
Riverne - Site #B01 (time 27:20):
Heorot arrives in Riverne - Site #B01. Like Riverne - Site #A01, this zone consists of floating islands. Spatial Displacements provide transport from island to island. Pyrodrakes drop the Giant Scales needed to stabilize Unstable Displacements. Heorot only needs one Giant Scale to reach Monarch Linn. And he already has one.
Heorot starts at M-9. Just to the southwest, he takes a Spatial Displacement. It leads to L-9 on the long main island.
At G-8, Heorot finds an Unstable Displacement. He trades a Giant Scale to it and then uses it. He arrives at G-7 on the smaller island to the north.
Then, Heorot takes the Spatial Displacement at F-6. It takes him to F-6 on the island to the west.

Previously, Link completed the Ancient Cistern. He defeated the boss, Koloktos, and obtained Farore's Flame. The Goddess Sword is now the Goddess Longsword, with improved reach and attack power. Then, Link returned to the Isle of Songs and learned Nayru's Wisdom, which will unlock Nayru's Silent Realm in Lanayru Desert. He also did the second part of Fledge's quest in Skyloft. Now, Link will go through Nayru's Silent Realm in Lanayru Desert.

Link resumes in Skyloft. Before leaving town, he visits Beedle's Airshop.

Link splurges on the Piece of Heart for 1,600 Rupees. This is Piece of Heart #14 in my game. Then, Link leaves the airshop.

Link dives off and calls his Loftwing.
The Sky (time 3:20):
Link flies southwest and dives into the yellow column of light. He descends towards the North Desert in Lanayru Desert.
Lanayru Desert (time 4:09):
Link lands at the North Desert statue. Fi pops out and tells Link what to do.
The Silent Realm entrance is located in the north of the desert just outside the entrance to the northern vault. Link strums his harp to reveal the mark. Then, he accompanies Fi in a performance of Nayru's Wisdom. He can now thrust his sword into the mark to enter the Silent Realm.
Link saves at the North Desert statue. Then, he thrusts his sword into the mark to enter Nayru's Silent Realm.
Nayru's Silent Realm (time 6:44):
A scene plays as Link arrives in the Silent Realm. Fi reminds him of his goal in this second trial. Link obtains the Spirit Vessel.
After Link gains control, he begins this trial in a spirit version of Lanayru Desert. His objective is to collect the fifteen Tears of Nayru scattered throughout the area to fill the Spirit Vessel. As before, he must avoid the Guardians throughout the desert.
Link takes a generally clockwise path through the desert. Sinksand exists here in the same places as in Lanayru Desert. A fairly tricky Tear of Nayru is near the Stone Cache in the southeast. The tear is over a pool of waking water, and Link must pull a cart out to get the tear. The southern portion of the desert between the five o'clock and six o'clock lines is thick with Watchers.
Note also that one Tear of Light is on the very top of the building providing entry to the Lanayru Mining Facility.
Of course, there are also Dusk Relics scattered throughout the area.
When Link has finished here, he returns to the entrance. Having cleared the trial, he earns a very useful reward: the Clawshots! As in Twilight P

Previously, the party finished exploring the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. Now, they will begin exploring the Nam-Yensa Sandsea, starting at the Sandscale Bank in the northeast.
The party resumes at the Sandscale Bank in the Nam-Yensa Sandsea. When they first arrived, an Urutan-Yensa was asking for help defeating the Urutan-Yensa's mortal enemy, a giant tortoise. Might as well.
The party exits southwest to the Urutan-Yensa Sea (time 0:51).
To the southwest, they find the Withering Shores (time 6:02).
Here, the party encounters the giant tortoise, the Urutan Eater (time 6:50). It is weak to wind, and Penelo's Aero spells tear it to pieces.
The party defeats the Urutan Eater (time 7:26). Now is a good time to try to find that Urutan-Yensa at the Sandscale Bank.
The party backtracks through the Urutan-Yensa Sea (time 8:08).
Balthier reaches Level 17 (time 9:13). The party swaps to a lineup of Vaan, Fran, and Ashe.
The party returns to the Sandscale Bank (time 10:28).
They talk to the Sandsea Moogle (time 10:37). It points them east to the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea.
The party heads east to Platform 2 - Refinery in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea (time 11:08).
A scene takes place as they climb the ramp to the platform (time 11:25). They see the Urutan-Yensa interact with the Sandsea Moogle and return to the Sandscale Bank.
A scene takes place as the party returns west to the Sandscale Bank in the Nam-Yensa Sandsea (time 12:05). There is an Urutan-Yensa moot, but it does not have a pleasant outcome.
We regain control of the party after the scene (time 13:47).
The party talks to the Sandsea Moogle (time 13:51). It points out the rare flower that the Urutan left-behind.
The party examines the Rogue Urutan Flower (time 14:31). They pick a bunch of Eksir Berries. These cast a Dark-elemental spell when used as an item in battle. They are useful against a certain avion called a Garuda.
The party returns to the Urutan-Yensa Sea (time 15:10).
They continue southwest to the Withering Shores (time 17:37). The western exit goes on to the Demesne of the Sandqueen, but the party will go another way.
Instead, the party exits southeast to Augur Hill (time 20:32).
Fran reaches Level 17 (time 21:34).
On the central island, the party can find the Nam-Yensa Sandsea map in the original PS2 version of the game. In The Zodiac Age, the urn containing the map was moved to Platform 1 - East Tanks in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. A little inconsistent, but convenient.
The party exits east to the Yensa Border Tunnel in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea (time 24:56). This is where they first encountered Dyce and Dilah, not to mention the Yensa Crystal.
They talk to Dyce (time 25:07). They unload some loot. They pick up the Bazaar set Marksman's Delight for 550 gil. Marksman's Delight contains a pouch of Silent Shot and a Capella gun. Marksman's Delight requires selling 2 Fish Scales, 2 Green Liquids, and 3 Dark Stones. Balthier equips the Silent Shot.
The party returns west to Augur Hill in the Nam-Yensa Sandsea (time 26:41).
Vossler reaches Level 22 (time 28:07).
The party exits southwest to the Yellow Sands (time 28:39).
Ashe reaches Level 17 (time 31:18).
Vaan reaches Level 17 (time 31:44).
In the southwest, the party finds the entrance to the Darkened Wharf in Zertinan Caverns (time 32:46).
They head back out to the Yellow Sands in the Nam-Yensa Sandsea (time 32:59).
On the northern platform, the party exits west to the Demesne of the Sandqueen (time 36:07).
On the northeast branch of the western bridge, a coffer contains the Time Magick spell Balance (time 42:35). Balance damages the target with the difference between the caster's current and maximum HP, like ???? in other Final Fantasy games.
Fran reaches Level 18 (time 43:47).
The party exits west to the Trail of Fading Warmth (time 44:47).
They take the northeast exit to Simoon Bluff (time 48:01). Look out for the traps just beyond the bridge! This zone has several goodies to find.
Ashe reaches Level 18 (time 50:04).

Previously, Mia concluded the prologue scenario in Eterne Village. At the Temple of Light, she chose to be reincarnated as a Dwarf. Now, the game will truly begin in the Dwarf town of Agurani.
Agurani Town:
As Mia logs in for the first time, a scene takes place in Agurani. Following a tragedy in the Akuronia Mountain Mine, Mia is reincarnated in the body of a Dwarf of the same name. Chief Hottsi asks Mia to go to the church in the upper level of town and talk to Runana on his behalf.
After the introductory scene, Mia obtains a Gift Card and a few gifts. She turns on Distribution mode in the settings.
Mia starts at B-6 in the lower level of town. She starts at Thief Level 1. A Thief can now equip knives, whips, claws, or clubs.
Mia starts by exploring the lower level of town. She talks to Elmeme at B-5. Elmeme gives her the Angel Slime Hat, which triples the wearer's experience points earned in battle while equipped. The Angel Slime Hat currently works up to Level 99. Such a deal!
Close to Elmeme, Mia talks to Gohon the engineer at B-5. Gohon gives her the Rental Dol Board key item and 10 vials of Dol Serin, the fuel for Dol Boards. Later on, there is a quest to get a permanent Dol Board.
Mia drops down the well at C-6. The red chest in the well contains 3 Medicinal Herbs.
In the east of the town's lower level, Mia uses the elevator at H-5. It transports her to B-6 in the upper level of town.
The church is up the stairs in the northeast at G-3. Within, Mia talks to Sister Marere at G-2. She confesses to set the church as her respawn point.
Then, Mia goes through the northwestern door at G-2. This triggers a cutscene with Runana. I am not inclined to trust her. She asks Mia to go to the Akuronia Mountain Mine and find Sage Broggen.
Afterwards, Mia uses the elevator at B-7 to descend to the lower level of Agurani. At A-6, she enters the Akuronia Mountain Mine.
Akuronia Mountain Mine (time 23:45):
Mia starts at G-1 in the northeast of the mine. The Rental Dol Board is usable here. There are easy Slimes and Mischievous Moles near the entrance.
Following a battle, Mia reaches Thief Level 2. She learns the spell Evac. She gains 2 skill points, which she puts into the Thief's Acquisitiveness skill.
Mia reaches Thief Level 3. She learns the spell Decelerate, which reduces an enemy's agility one level. She earns 2 skill points, which she puts into Acquisitiveness for a total of 4.
In the second room, she can turn east and find a chamber with Drackies. This room has an exit to the Raniakka Fault Region, the overworld area outside Agurani.
Mia reaches Thief Level 4. She earns 1 skill point, which she puts into Acquisitiveness for a total of 5.
At E-3, Mia finds a red chest with an Evac-U-Bell. Using an Evac-U-Bell creates a portal that will take one out of the current dungeon.
Mia passes through the door at F-3. In the room beyond, she talks to Chalko the guard at F-4. This triggers a cutscene that introduces Sage Broggen and his chatty staff. The next objective is to return to Runana in town.
After the scene, Mia leaves the room. She battles a few more beasties in the area.
Mia reaches Thief Level 5. She learns the spell Kumono ("Spider"), which sets a trap that can incapacitate an enemy briefly. She gains 3 skill points and puts them into Acquisitiveness for a total of 8. At 8 points in Acquisitiveness, she learns the ability Half-Inch, which attempts to steal an item from an enemy.
Mia reaches Thief Level 6. She learns the spell Accelerate, which boosts a party member's agility by one level. She gains 2 skill points.
At G-1, she exits to Agurani.
Agurani Town (time 39:54):
Mia rests at the inn at E-7 in the lower level of town. She takes the elevator at H-4 to the upper level of town.
On the upper level of Agurani, Mia enters the church and examines the door at G-2. This triggers a scene with Runana, Broggen, and Broggen's Staff. Runana storms off in a huff. Broggen's Staff rewards Mia with a Zoom Stone. Each normal Zoom Stone can be set to one location at a time. They can be set at churches or crystals.

We are currently grinding in previous tales in preparation for The Crystals. Previously, Edge and his ninja friends continued grinding in the Tower of Babil. Gekkou has reached Level 28, Izayoi Level 29, Edge Level 31, Tsukinowa Level 30, and Zangetsu Level 28. Edge and company will now continue grinding.
Tower of Babil:
The party resumes in the save room on floor B3 in the Tower of Babil. They head down to B5 to continue their grinding.
Edge reaches Level 32 and learns the Ninjutsu ability Mirage. Tsukinowa reaches Level 31. Zangetsu reaches Level 29.
Gekkou reaches Level 29. Izayoi reaches Level 30.
Tsukinowa reaches Level 32.
Zangetsu reaches Level 30.
Izayoi reaches Level 31. Edge reaches Level 33.
Gekkou reaches Level 30.
As needed, the party returns to the save room on floor B3 to rest and restore their MP.
Tsukinowa reaches Level 33 and learns the Ninjutsu ability Smoke. Zangetsu reaches Level 31.
Gekkou reaches Level 31. Izayoi reaches Level 32.
Edge reaches Level 34.
Izayoi reaches Level 33. Tsukinowa reaches Level 34. Zangetsu reaches Level 32.
Gekkou reaches Level 32.
Edge reaches Level 35.
Tsukinowa reaches Level 35.
Izayoi reaches Level 34. Zangetsu reaches Level 33.
Gekkou reaches Level 33.
When they are done grinding for now, the party goes to the save room on B3. They use the teleporter to exit the dungeon.
Overworld (time 55:11):
The party enters Eblan Castle.
Eblan Castle (time 55:49):
On floor 1F of the main keep, the party spends a couple nights in the inn to advance to a waning moon. They also visit the Sundries shops. They stock up on Tents and some other consumables.
The party leaves the castle.
Overworld (time 57:57):
They go west and save outside the Cave of Eblan. Next time, they will continue grinding.

Previously, the party explored the battlefield in the north of the Vermilion Woods. They went north to the Atattra Access Elevator at the base of the Aurora Shelf and met Jilljill, leader of a Nopon caravan. They carried out her quest "Elevator Repairs" and repaired the Atattra Access Elevator. Now, they will explore the southern part of the Aurora Shelf and carry out a couple of quests.

The party resumes at the Elevator Landing Camp in the south of the Aurora Shelf.
Just east of the campfire, they talk to Tiny Timtim. Timtim issues the standard quest "Tinkering With the X-Reader". The Upgrade X-Reader option becomes available at camps. For the quest, the party must add one new function to their X-Reader.
At the Elevator Landing Camp, the party uses Upgrade X-Reader. They upgrade the Treasure Sensor.
Afterwards, they report to Tiny Timtim. "Tinkering with the X-Reader" complete! They must fully upgrade the X-Reader for Tiny Timtim's next Community goal.
Just west of the camp, the party talks to Burrburr. Burrburr issues the standard quest "Dungeon Mapping". The objective is to gather three samples from rock faces nearby in the Aurora Shelf.
The party sets out to explore the Aurora Shelf. There are new beasts for the Enemypaedia and new treasures.
Just northwest of the camp, there is an Ether Channel. Nearby, the party finds the first Rock Face for "Dungeon Mapping".
Down the slope west of the camp, the party finds a Container at a cave entrance. Level 20+ monsters are within.
A Container is on the ledge northwest of the camp.
25:11 - Zalmor's Falls
Zalmor's Falls is farther northwest. On the southern shore, the party takes out some Tirkins in an Intervention.
On the ledge north of Zalmor's Falls, the party finds the Hilltop Chegwin, a Level 13 unique Tirkin, in the west of an Incursion area. It is certainly best to fight this fiend on its own. It drops a few accessories upon its defeat.
Near the Hilltop Chegwin grave, the party examples the second Rock Face for "Dungeon Mapping".
Afterwards, they work around to work on the Incursion from the east side. There are plenty of Tirkins. The Tirkin Totem summons new Tirkins, so try to save it for last.
The party finds an Ether Channel on the land bridge northeast of Zalmor's Falls.
48:32 - Gaur Viaduct
On the Gaur Viaduct land bridge, the party fights the Smothering Andante, a Level 11 unique Ardun. It is pretty easy to get knocked off to the viaduct below. The monster drops some accessories upon its defeat.
Southeast of the bridge, the party examines the third Rock Face for "Dungeon Mapping". The next objective is to report to Burrburr.
57:01 - Pilgrim's Rest Remains
The party finds the Pilgrim's Rest Remains east of the Elevator Landing Camp. Atop the hill, they find the Pioneer's Point landmark. They find an Accessory Unlock Kit at the base of the saffronia tree.
On the northern side of the tree, they play the Affinity Scene.

The party descends the ladder to a ledge over the Vermilion Woods. They find the entrance to the Abandoned Depot, but I don't like the look of this place.
The party goes back up to the Aurora Shelf.

The party talks to Burrburr west of the Elevator Landing Camp. "Dungeon Mapping" complete! The party must find Burrburr later in the story.
The party does some more Affinity Growth to enhance their arts. At camp, they register items on their Collectopaedia. At camp, they craft Steelcleaver II, Lifebearer II, and Steel Protection II.
The party saves at the Elevator Landing Camp. They will continue pursuing Glimmer next time.

Previously, the party explored the Sunken Ship. After solving a precious riddle, they defeated King Calamari and its Tentacles about halfway through. At the end, they defeated Jonathan Jones, a.k.a. Johnny, and acquired Star Piece 5. Now, they will return to the elder at Seaside Town and solve a little problem before continuing on their journey.

Previously, Davilas began the Version 4.5 storyline. He found Padre at True Gran Zedoura Castle. He met Melearde at New Eteene Village and brought Padre some Hatsuratsu Beans. Afterwards, Davilas and Melearde traveled to Kimbel City in the past. At Royal Army Headquarters, they found that Cuord had survived the events in the Urubea Empire. They then visited Dianji in town. After visiting Wagmika in the Free People's Village, Davilas went to Royal Alchemia and picked up some Sweet Syrup for her. Wagmika then made the Earth Vein Crystal for Davilas. Back in Kimbel, Dianji gave Davilas the Rod of Detection. With the help of the rod, Davilas found earth energy veins in Kimbel City, Eteene Kingdom, and the Bantriyu Region and used the Earth Vein Crystal to absorb the energy. Now, Davilas will continue the Version 4.5 story by going back to see Cuord in Royal Army Headquarters.
Davilas resumes in his house in the Azlan housing area. Outside, he checks his mail and receives gold for items that sold on the bazaar. When he is ready to go, he uses the Eteenel Cube to teleport to Kimbel City.
Royal City of Kimbel (time 2:07):
Davilas goes through the northern gate at D-4 to the Royal Army Headquarters grounds. Miok at E-3 has story information.
At E-2, he goes through the door to headquarters.
Royal Army Headquarters (time 3:47):
Davilas goes upstairs and enters the commander's office at E-4. Within, he talks to Cuord at D-3. This triggers some dialogue. Davilas's next destination is a cave at the eastern end of the Tiprone Highlands.
After the dialogue, Cuord at D-3 has story information.
Davilas leaves the commander's office. Downstairs, he takes the door at E-7 out of the building.
Royal City of Kimbel (time 6:22):
Davilas takes the gate at E-3 to the main part of the city. Near the exit to Tiprone Highlands, Iguri at G-3 has story information.
Davilas uses the Eteenel Cube to teleport to the Tiprone Highlands.
Tiprone Highlands (time 8:01):
Davilas arrives at H-5. Sorba nearby has story information.
Davilas enters the cave at H-5.
East Tiprone Cave (time 8:50):
As Davilas and Melearde arrive, a scene with Dianji takes place. Dianji awakens a massive tortoise! Thanks, buddy.
After the scene, it is boss time against Megalodyne (メガロダイン), a massive tortoise. Megalodyne's attacks include a flaming spin, a non-flaming spin, and earthquake circles. Melearde helps the party as a guest, but she is not targetable. She can put Acceleratle on the party and attack Megalodyne with her boomerang.
After the battle, another scene with Melearde and Dianji takes place. The Earth Vein Stone seems to alleviate the area's shakeups. Davilas's next objective is to return to Cuord at Royal Army Headquarters.
After the scene, Davilas uses the Eteenel Cube to teleport back to Kimbel.
Royal City of Kimbel (time 18:34):
Davilas takes the northern gate at D-4 to the grounds of Royal Army Headquarters. Miok at E-3 has additional story information.
Davilas enters headquarters at E-2.
Royal Army Headquarters (time 19:54):
Hekil at E-6 in the entrance hall has story information.
Upstairs, Davilas enters the commander's office at E-4. Within, a scene with Cuord, Melearde, Dianji, and Zagulf takes place. Davilas earns 900,000 experience points, 200,000 skill orb points, and 100,000 gold. Davilas's next objective is to go to the Made Temple in the west of the Tiprone Highlands. Looks like Cuord has the key.
Davilas reaches Minstrel Level 117 and earns 3 skill points.
Davilas gains control at E-4 in the commander's office after the scene. Cuord at D-3 has story information.
Davilas leaves Cuord's office. Downstairs, Hekil at E-6 has additional story info.
At E-7, Davilas takes the main gate out of the building.
Royal City of Kimbel (time 25:54):
Davilas takes the gate at E-3 to the main part of town. Iguri at G-3 near the exit to Tiprone Highlands has story information.
Davilas will head to Made Temple next time. For now, he uses the Eteenel Cube to return to the present.

Davilas Zooms to his house.

Previously, Heorot reached Level 15 as a White Mage in the Konschtat Highlands. Then, he moved on to the Valkurm Dunes and began the Page 1 field training to defeat 7 Hill Lizards and 1 Sand Hare. He has reached Level 16 as a White Mage. Now, he will continue training in these unforgiving sands.
Valkurm Dunes:
Heorot resumes at K-9, the western end of the hidden tunnel. He continues targeting Hill Lizards, Sand Hares, and second-tier Goblins.
Not far into the video, Heorot makes a run to Selbina at G-9.
Selbina (time 13:45):
In Selbina, Heorot sets his current home point to the Home Point in town. He manages his inventory and sells excess equipment and loot.
When he is done, he heads back out to Valkurm Dunes.
Valkurm Dunes (time 17:36):
Heorot returns to the tunnel area and continues hunting down beasties. Even the "very tough" third-tier Goblins are starting to get manageable, if risky. Some of them can also drop spell scrolls, so it is worth it.
One treasure coffer yields a Yew Wand. Finally, an upgraded club for Heorot.
Eventually, Heorot reaches Level 19 as a White Mage. He runs back to Selbina.
Selbina (time 1:04:45):
Before logging off, Heorot takes care of some more inventory management and sells excess loot and equipment.
Next time, Heorot will continue grinding in the Valkurm Dunes.

This is video #035 in my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest. On the Death Mountain Trail, Link finds Piece of Heart #22 with ease by taking the Magic Bean that he planted in front of the entrance to the Dodongo's Cavern to the ledge above the entrance.
Next, Link can actually enter the Dodongo's Cavern. This is the only one of the mainly-child dungeons that he can visit as a grown-up. In the northern chambers on the first floor, he can find and kill Gold Skulltula #45 atop the northern divider. This is finally the last Gold Skulltula in Dodongo's Cavern.
Next, he heads up to the entrance to Goron City. On that platform with stones arranged in a circle, he can use the Song of Storms to open up a grotto, where a treasure chest contains a Huge Rupee, worth 200 Rupees!
Goron City itself is strangely empty. At night, on the back side of that suspended platform in the middle of the first floor, he can find and kill Gold Skulltula #46.
On the second level, a small Goron is rolling around madly, much like the big Goron when Link was a child. This little Goron must be bombed, and it is a bit trickier than bombing the big Goron earlier.
Oddly, this little Goron has the same name as Link! He will tell our hero a woeful tale about the Gorons. He will eventually give Link the Goron's Tunic and open up the doors in the town. This must be done so that Link can access the northern section of the Death Mountain Crater.
Link also buys the Giant's Knife for 200 Rupees. Sounds like a good deal, right? Ha ha ha!
Next, Link goes to Darunia's chambers on the lowest floor of the city. By pulling the statue in the back of the chamber, Link can access the Death Mountain Crater. However, be sure to put on the Goron Tunic beforehand.
By Hookshotting across the broken bridge to the east, Link can meet the mysterious Sheik again. Sheik will teach him the Bolero of Fire, which will teleport him back to the Death Mountain Crater.
After learning the Bolero of Fire, Link heads back down to Kakariko Village.
