HENDERSON, Nev. (KSNV) — A suspect has been arrested for killing an elderly Henderson woman and setting fire to her apartment earlier this month, according to police.
The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 84-year-old Donna McElfresh, who died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities found McElfresh when firefighters responded to a fire in an apartment on E. Lake Mead Parkway on Friday, July 6.

A grieving mother wants justice for the murder of her son.
Hancock is understandably devastated over the loss of her son, 27-year-old Aaron Hancock. He was found shot to death on Bailey Avenue July 8.
Her son's car, a green Scion, has now been recovered, but the person police believe to be the trigger man, "Lil G", is still out there.

HELL'S KITCHEN, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man who shoved an elderly woman to the ground and yelled a racial slur at her before running away.
Investigators say the suspect attacked the 84-year-old woman on July 11 near the corner of 43rd Street and 9th Avenue while she was on her way home from the pharmacy. She was moving slowly because she was having issues with her knee.
The suspect reportedly pushed her from behind and she suffered bruises and cuts to her knee and elbow. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
"It's terrible - it's a huge scrape right on her kneecap, and then the whole leg was just totally black - a terrible bruise," Butram said.
The suspect was described as being 5 feet 6 or 7 inches and was last seen wearing a black shirt, light-colored pants and black shoes.

FRESNO, Calif. -- Lululemon surveillance video shows thieves steal dozens of legging during store hours. It happened on Sunday at the Fig Garden Village store.
The women walk in with bags and head straight over to the cabinets filled with leggings. Police said they stole $17,000 in all.
"They are very bold, they know what they are doing there are witnesses," said Joe Gomez, Fresno Police Department.
Police said this group has targeted a number of bay area stores. They have stolen from Berkeley, Gilroy, and other cities.
All together, police said they have stolen $120,000 in July. They were arrested but then released.
"4 females got out and they went to the back of the car and got out big duffel bags," said Hall.
Hall said he followed them to Lululemon. By the time he got there, they were already loading up their bags with leggings.
He said they all were able to escape and as they tried to drive away, they almost hit a pedestrian. Now he wants to find these women responsible.

Dov Hikind (born June 30, 1950) is an American politician in the state of New York. He is a former Democratic New York State Assemblyman representing Brooklyn's Assembly district 48, having held this position for 35 years, from January 1983 until December 2018.[1]
Hikind hosts a weekly radio show in New York City.
Hikind endorsed Michael Bloomberg the first two times he ran for mayor of New York City, then switched his endorsement to the challenger Bill Thompson in the 2009 election.[3] Hikind had broken ranks with his party before, most notably in his endorsement of Republican candidates George Pataki for governor in 1994, George W.
