I visited Zadar railway station in Croatia in 2023 to check out some Croatian trains Hrvatske željeznice (HŽ). However what I found at the railway station really surprised me. Check out what I saw, and learn about Europe's first aluminium train, the aluminium multiple diesel electric motor unit Series 611 manufactured by Zagreb Railway Work.

Some footage of diesel locomotive 37 403 "Isle of Mull" and Caledonian Railway steam locomotive number 419. Both at Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway today, 3rd January 2023.
All footage my own.
37403 "Isle of Mull" is a British Rail Class 37 diesel-electric locomotive that was built by English Electric in 1960. It was used by British Rail for passenger and freight service, and it was later sold to a private operator. The locomotive has been preserved and is currently being used for heritage railway operations in Scotland. It has appeared in several television shows and films, including the popular Scottish soap opera "Take the High Road". It is currently owned by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society, which works to preserve and restore historic railway vehicles in Scotland.
The Class 37 locomotives were one of the most successful and longest-serving locomotives in the British Rail fleet. They were used for a variety of duties including passenger and freight service, and they were known for their reliability and versatility. Many of them are still in use today on the heritage railway scene. 37403 "Isle of Mull" is one of these historic locomotives, and it has played an important role in the preservation of the railway heritage in Scotland.
The Caledonian Railways 0-4-4 No. 419 is a historic steam locomotive that has played an important role in the development of the railway system in Scotland. It was built in 1924, at a time when steam locomotives were the primary means of traction for trains in the United Kingdom. The locomotive was designed and built by the North British Locomotive Company, one of the most prominent manufacturers of steam locomotives in Scotland. It was used by the Caledonian Railways, a major railway company in Scotland, for passenger and freight service. In 1948, the Caledonian Railways was merged into the London, Midland, and Scottish Railway, and No. 419 continued to be used for service until it was retired in 1964.
After its retirement, No. 419 was preserved by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society, a group dedicated to preserving and restoring historic steam locomotives. The locomotive was restored to working order, and it has been used for heritage railway operations in Scotland. Today, No. 419 is an important part of Scotland's railway heritage, and it is a popular attraction on the heritage railway scene.
The Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway is a heritage railway located in the town of Bo'ness, near Edinburgh, Scotland. It is operated by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society, a group dedicated to preserving and restoring historic railway vehicles in Scotland.
The railway runs along a section of the former Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway, which was one of the first railways in Scotland. The Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway offers visitors the opportunity to ride on historic steam and diesel locomotives, and to learn about the history of the railway in Scotland.
One of the highlights of the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway is the Kinneil Museum, which is located in the former Kinneil House Goods Shed. The museum contains a collection of historic railway vehicles, including locomotives, coaches, and wagons, as well as exhibits on the history of the railway in Scotland.
The Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway also hosts a number of special events throughout the year, including steam galas, diesel galas, and heritage railway festivals. These events attract visitors from all over Scotland and beyond, and provide an opportunity for railway enthusiasts to see a variety of historic locomotives in action.
In conclusion, the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway is a popular attraction in Scotland, offering visitors the chance to ride on historic locomotives and to learn about the rich history of the railway in Scotland. It is an important part of the country's railway heritage, and is well worth a visit for anyone interested in trains and the history of transportation.

The Stacja Muzeum in the former Warsaw Główna PKP railway terminus is a great, but small museum with some great locomotives on display. In addition they have an extensive number of models (not shown in this video). As the museum is very close to the Warszawa Ochota railway station, a visit is well worth it when you're in Warsaw.
Find out more about the museum from their website: https://stacjamuzeum.pl/en/
This video is a slide show of photographs of locomotives on display when I visited in April 2017.

This is Episode 2 where I go from the disassembled truck and strip the paint off this old Dinky model.
I'll be doing paint stripping, re-spray, 3d printed modifications and hopefully at the end of it, have a nice little truck.
See if I can restore this die-cast model truck!
