The 2024 Mercedes GLE is a mid-size luxury SUV that has been in production since 1997. The latest model has received a facelift, with updated interiors and offroading options. There are also new trim options, including electrified and hybrid options. The base model is the GLE 354 matic, which has a two-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The GLE 450 E has a two-liter four-cylinder turbocharged plug-in hybrid engine, while the GLE 584 matic has a four-liter V-8 with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. Under the hood of the GLE 5090 is an inline six-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. It has a combined output of 375 horsepower and 369 ft of torque, which gives it a zero to 60 time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 130 miles per hour. The exterior design of the GLE for 2024 looks similar to the previous design, but there are some changes, including new headlights. The front fascia and rear fascia have also been updated, and there are two new paint colors available. The GLE has 21-inch rims with Pirelli tires and gloss black side mirrors that can power fold. The roof rails are also gloss black, and there is a metal sidestep and skid plate. The GLE is a full SUV, not a coupe, with a more boxy body style. The rear has updated tail lights, a GLE 450 badge, a four-matic badge, and a dual exhaust. The cargo volume with the third row up is 33.3 cubic feet, but with the third row down, it increases to 74.9 cubic feet. The second-row seating has ample space, and there are power-folding rear seats. The interior has some updates, including a digital gauge cluster, ambient lighting, and an updated infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GLE has a Burmester sound system, and there are optional features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and massaging front seats.
