Good evening, I’m still reporting on the Texas “Merry Christmas” law.
A Texas school board will discuss tonight the fate of a Charlie Brown Christmas poster that a school staffer decorated her door with, and 2 days later, the school’s principal made her remove.
Dedra Shannon, a clinic aide at Patterson Middle School in Kileen, Texas put up the poster which features a screenshot of the popular Christmas television special “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
At the bottom of the poster was a verse that is recited by the character “Linus”:
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior which is Christ the Lord. That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.”
School principal Kara Trevino told Ms. Shannon that she could leave the Charlie Brown characters up, as long as she removed the bottom portion of the poster that contained the Bible verse. According to Ms. Shannon, Trevino said that it:
“… is an issue of separation of church and state. She said the poster had to come down because it might offend kids from other religions or those who do not have a religion.”
Well, this is a common misconception. The “wall of separation between church and state” is nowhere spoken of in the U.S. Constitution. It only existed in one letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists on Jan. 1, 1802.
Therein Jefferson reassured the Baptists – who had been persecuted at the hands of government from the 1630s to the time of the federal Constitution in the 1780s – that persecution by the government would come to an end thanks to the First Amendment to the Constitution which guarantees “the free exercise of religion.”
The founding fathers never intended that the Constitution protect the government from the influences of religion. It was made to protect religion from intrusions and persecutions by government.
So, the Texas legislature passed a state law reaffirming this original understanding and it became effective in 2013, called the “Merry Christmas” law.
It protects school workers from government interference from displaying their religious beliefs as an attack on religious liberty and a violation of the First Amendment and state law.
One of the legislators who voted for the “Merry Christmas” law is now the Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton.
“We passed that law precisely because of this type of discrimination against people of faith.”
“I’m calling on the school board … to immediately reverse their unlawful decision.”
The school board will discuss the issue this evening.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage has been invited to attend the Republican Convention in Cleveland next week.
Farage said to USA Today:

The latest CNN poll shows Donald Trump pulling away from the field decisively.

With less than 2 months left before voting begins in Iowa, Trump has now led in almost every poll for the past 5 months.
He continues to draw huge crowds in every venue he books. Here is a photo from this weekend’s visit to Dallas and one from Raleigh.

Trump’s critics continue to say he has a ceiling, but his ceiling keeps moving up. Why? In today’s Washington Post article on the Trump phenomena is the answer.

Trump has a lock on voters without a college degree. The other leading candidates all split the college degree crowd.
That’s why Trump’s strong-horse talks – despite lacking depth or specifics – still trump his opponents.
Folks without a college degree tend to rely on common sense and their intuition about the character of a candidate. They feel they haven’t had a candidate that speaks to them and for them for many years. And this is the year when a strong-horse president is a must.
This middle-class crowd stayed home last cycle. Romney the technocrat didn’t appeal to their intuitions.
That’s why Trump -- even with fewer specifics and frequent blunders -- also leads massively on issues polling as well – voter intuition.

Finally, one more piece of good news for Trump; according to the latest edition of Time magazine, since 1952, the Republican candidate leading in the Gallup poll in December almost always ends up winning the nomination.

From here on to the June 23 Brexit vote, I’ll include one story per day on the importance of Britain leaving the European Union. Here is today’s offering.
Former U.S. Senator and now President of the prestigious Heritage Foundation, Jim DeMint, has announced that he is in favor of Britain leaving the European Union on June 23rd.
“If Britain breaks free of the shackles of the EU, America and the free world stand to benefit as well.”
DeMint, writing in the DailySignal explained that he recently visited Britain and met with members of the British Cabinet and several members of Parliament to discuss the Brexit vote.
“For the first time in over four decades, British voters will finally be able to shape their own destiny.”
DeMint said:
“Those supporting Brexit … are, after all, fighting for Britain’s freedom, the right to self-determination, and the power to control Britain’s borders and decide their own laws, without interference from the European Commission in Brussels and the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.”

However, I luckily did read this email from the website, because this really changed my perspective of my channel. I’ll withhold the name:
“I did a very unscientific look at CNN's YouTube numbers.
“They have 1,604,952 subscribers but really get very few views for that number. I looked at their six most recent videos that were at least one day old & were clearly US politics oriented.”
CNN could easily be paying to boost fake subscriber numbers. I’ve heard you can do that on Twitter and Facebook.
“Those six averaged only 7027 views per video or a mere 0.43% of the total subscribers.
“Then I looked at your channel with 59,425 subscribers. I only looked at your five most recent videos so as not to skew the results with the one that got 754,851 views.”
Incidentally, that one report is #1271. It cracked a million yesterday in less than 5 days!
“Anyway you average 25,136 views per video or 42.3% of the total subscribers.
“I looked at the up & down votes for both channels as well with CNN only averaging 148 'ups' & 170 'downs'.
“Couldn't count your 'ups' accurately as they only display a 'xK' value but you have at least 1,167 'ups' per video & 15 'downs'.
Here’s a screenshot of my last 6 vids. Typically, my vids run 100-to-1 ratio between the ups and downs – or only 1% or less get thumbs down.
“This all doesn't really mean much more than that very few of CNN's alleged followers don't pay much attention to them. Guess it also indicates that you've got some loyal & appreciative followers - myself included.

Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on Brexit.
The Royal biographer of Britain, Robert Lacey, says that her Majesty, QE, may be a secret Leave supporter concerning tomorrow’s vote.
“The Queen has no vote but I think she may feel we should be Out.
“That’s only my guess as to her thoughts — but she does like robust debate.”
At a recent private dinner, including members of her immediate family, the Queen questioned each guest about their thoughts on the Brexit question.
“Give me THREE good reasons’ she has, apparently, been asking her dinner companions recently, ‘why Britain should be part of Europe?’”
Her Majesty has apparently been fretting about the Muslim problems in England. In 2012, The Queen spoke with a BBC reporter and asked why fanatical Islamic preacher Abu Hamza could not be arrested and extradited.
In a blog written for the Daily Beast, Lacey said that history would show that the Queen has always been:
“…impeccably non-political in public. But in private it is a different story.”
“Her majesty can be refreshingly outspoken among friends, as we discovered from her comments last month on the ‘very rude’ Chinese delegation in London.
“The same is true when it comes to Europe.”
Lacey, who is an admitted Remain supporter, reminded readers that although her Majesty has no vote, he admits:
“She’s a very thoughtful Euroskeptic….”
And that only stands to reason. How can the ruler of a sovereign nation be anything but it’s biggest cheerleader.
But then, there is the example of President Obama….

I’m calling this PlaneGate. On Monday evening, exactly 3 days ago, Attorney General Loretta Lynch met secretly on a private plane on the tarmac at the Phoenix, Sky Harbor airport with Bill Clinton away from prying eyes or television cameras.
The secret meeting would have remained secret except that one anonymous tipster understood the gravity of the secret meeting and quickly called the local ABC affiliate in Phoenix.
Do not underestimate the importance of this story. This could be just as important to downfall of the Clintons as the revelation of the existence of a surreptitious taping system in the Oval office was for the Nixon administration during the Watergate investigation in 1973, nearly 43 years ago.

That’s right. A totally private conversation with no possibility of being overheard or recorded, protected by FBI and Secret Service agents on either an FBI jet, or a private jet being used by Lynch.
I’m sorry to say this, but Lynch will be out of a job 6 months from now. The Clintons have access to virtually unlimited amounts of money from certain Middle East nations. I’m not suggesting this, however, at this point NO ONE can rule out that a substantial amount of money could have been offered – or even worse – a significant threat during this 30 minute meeting. If you listened carefully to Lynch, she was careful to say the meeting was “mostly social’. So that means that there was some business discussed – and perhaps - dirty business.
The most important thing to remember here is that if this meeting was not a million-to-one fluke accident, then it was a rushed, last minute covert meeting – one that was designed to NEVER be known by the public.

The roar of the awakening sleepy giant could be heard from coast to coast all day as social media and news organizations across America overwhelmingly disapproved of the treatment of Donald Trump by the Fox News team at last night’s Republican debate.
Fox obviously thought they could knock Trump out in a single night, but it looks like they were wrong.
Late this evening, the first polling news started to filter out confirming the outrage. According to the Wall Street Journal, despite critics once again predicting the demise of the Donald:
“Time magazine found that Mr. Trump took 47% of nearly 55,000 votes. Son. Marco Rubio of Florida was in second place with 10%.”
47 to 10%???? You’ve got to be kidding. A typical poll sample size is less than 2,000 people. 55,000 people is 25 times that size. But, it gets even better. The Wall Street Journal continued:
“The Drudge Report’s poll found more than half of nearly 362,000 voters favored Mr. Trump, well above everyone else.”
Rush Limbaugh even lashed out at Fox:
“I have never seen this kind of public backlash against Fox News personalities since the network launched in 1997.”
A Bloomberg report chastised Fox’s Megyn Kelly for the name calling questioning of Trump in regards to Rosie O’Donnell, saying it was:
“something Rachael Maddow would ask.”

Yesterday about 1 pm, we posted a story that was based off a Fox News story that President Obama might be able to singlehandly appoint a replacement for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia because both the House and Senate are in recess for the President’s Day holiday today.
Although it is true that both houses of Congress are adjourned until next week, what the Fox piece missed - and I failed to catch - was that the U.S. Constitution is very specific in regards to how long a recess appointment may endure:
Article 2, Section 2
“The President shall have power to fill up all vacancies that may happen during the recess of the Senate, by granting commissions which shall expire at the end of their next session.”
Supreme Court judges are appointed for life. So yes, he could appoint a temporary Supreme Court justice, however there would be several downsides to this.
1. Senator Orin Hatch said yesterday that the Senate has tools to prevent this.
2. The other 8 justices on the Supreme Court may simply reject a new temporary member; and
3. This would be seen as merely another Obama power grab and bring on reams of negative publicity raiding down on his languishing administration that would certainly spill over onto Democrats in general.
Bottom line; it’s NOT going to happen, so I took the story down.
Since there is now controversy over the way Judge Scalia died, the removal of the previous video had to be explained.
What is the controversy? According to the Houston Chronicle in a story written by John MacCormack and updated at 2:40 pm yesterday, Feb. 14th, the resort owner, John Poindexter, knocked on Judge Scalia’s door at 8:30 am when he did not appear for breakfast. When Scalia did not answer the door, Poindexter assumed he was still asleep.
Three hours later, Poindexter returned after an outing and, finding that the judge had still not appeared, entered his room:
“We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. His bedclothes were unwrinkled,” said Poindexter.
Poindexter said the body was cold and the judge had no pulse. He called a local doctor and concluded resuscitation would have been futile.
According to the newspaper report:
“He then contacted federal authorities, at first encountering a series of answering services because he was calling on a weekend.”
Scalia’s death has subsequently been attributed to “natural causes”, specifically a heart attack. However, the death will forever be shrouded in mystery because who - in the midst of a heart attack - would decide:
“Oh, my chest hurts. What I need is to put a pillow over my nose and mouth to restrict my ability to breath.”

It’s such a silly assumption that even the CBS News report on the death posted at 22:58 last night highlighted in red that an:
“autopsy was not necessary.”
Well, it certainly IS necessary to determine whether the judge died of asphyxiation or a heart attack.
Until that is done by a panel of recognized forensic pathologists, murder conspiracy theories will continue to circulate – and for legitimate reasons.
In addition, there are some great pictures on the Houston Chronicle site, which I will not display on this story because the photos have now been bought by Getty Images and Getty is very hard line about copyright infringement.
So I will post them in my next report.
The most interesting one is an actual picture of the bed and the pillows in the room taken just hours after the Judge’s body was removed to be flown home to Virginia.

Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on Obama.
On Oct. 1, 2016, President Obama will give away control of the Internet to a multi-national body, despite Congress having passed laws forbidding him to do so.
Conservative lawyer and activist Phyllis Schlafly blasted the Obama’s complete disregard for the legislative process, saying it:
“… could be the most dangerous use yet of Obama’s now-famous pen.”
Congress has twice passed legislation to prevent the move, forbidding the National Telecommunications and Information Administration – or NTIA - from relinquishing their responsibility to oversee:
“Internet domain name system functions, including responsibility with respect to the authoritative root zone file and the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority functions.”
Despite this legislation, Obama has set Oct. 1 as the date the transfer will irrevocably take place.
In a letter to congressional leaders of both parties, a coalition of Internet experts and organizations have urged Congress to take immediate action and sue the Obama administration to block the illegal transfer.
“If NTIA allows the contract to lapse, it will have violated federal law.
“Suing to enforce the [law] and extending it through FY2017 are amply justified by the extraordinary importance of the constitutional principles at stake.
“Members of both parties should be able to unite around defending the power of the purse, the most fundamental constitutional power of the American people’s elected representatives.”
The letter highlights the fact that the head of the Executive Branch cannot be allowed to override the direct laws issued by Congress.
“If enacted legislation is no longer considered binding, a fundamental check on executive power will have been lost.
“Legislators also have a solemn responsibility to future generations to ensure that the future of the Internet is not placed at risk by prematurely ending U.S. oversight. We urge you to act promptly.”
Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who chair the House and Senate Judiciary committees, respectively, declared their opposition for the transfer in June, citing unanswered legal, constitutional and human rights questions.
In other words, should control over the freedom of the Internet - which has been nurtured by its inventor, the United States - be put into the hands of nations who have no respect for freedom of speech or the press, or, as in the case of China, forbid their citizens from even having access to the Internet? Does this make any sense?
According to Phyllis Schlafly:
“Among the many deceitful arguments used by the globalists is that taking the Internet away from the U.S. will advance us toward a goal of ‘no government control of the Internet.’
“If the United States doesn’t keep control of what we invented, the Internet will end up under Chinese or U.N. control.”
I know there is a lot going on in everyone’s lives in these last 11 weeks before election day, but once the free Internet is lost, it’s lost forever. If Congress is going to bring suit, to stop the Obama Internet giveaway, it must act immediately.
