The nostalgic buzz of dot matrix receipt printers has largely been replaced by the boring silence of thermal printers, including the one I reviewed two years ago. But here's a look at a dot matrix receipt printer with some unique features and a special type of paper, the Epson TM-U325 (M133A).

This vintage Panasonic AM/FM mechanical flip clock radio has the best-sounding AM tuner I've ever heard from a clock radio (excluding those specifically designed for hi-fi sound). Selectivity isn't that great, but it is very wideband, and on a good AM music station it actually has a more balanced tone than FM, which comes out sounding rather shrill.

If you liked Cassette 50 and Action 52, you'll love 155,000 Games! Over twice as many games as are even known to exist for the PC, on one DVD-ROM! No shareware or freeware! No fun, either!

Head alignment is a common problem with 8-track players. This one solves it by giving you a front-panel control to fine-tune your self-destructing cartridges.
Update: I was able to identify this as the Electrophonic model T-109.

Windows XP Professional requires at least 64 megs of RAM to install, but you can take out memory afterwards and it will still run -- well enough to use Adobe Audition 1.5, a full featured audio recording and editing program.

There are many good Video Toaster demo videos on YouTube. This is not one of them.
I removed, but did not replace, the blown capacitor, and the VT card works, but I could not get a stable image from any of the video inputs, even when using the TBC. So what you see here is the preview output using the Toaster's built-in color bar generator. (The image looks dim because it is overlaid with the control screen.)
The music was dubbed in later. The Video Toaster software takes about a minute to load, so be patient. At the end I got stuck in the title editor, which requires a keyboard to exit.
