I have to address this video because I despise academics who pretend like they have some angelic, unbiased past whereby any other influence is "spoiling" the academic process.
Any dolt can look up the historical development of academia and see that the modern educational system was formed by the early 20th century with devious intentions. The intentions were of industrialists who wanted to make a scientifically managed populace to put to use in their factories.
There isn't an angelic host of academics. Every academic has his/her opinion and can get grant money/funding from a politically charged organization.
It just so happens that some organizations only fund academics already in the vein of belief of the organization.
